“This hotel hits all the marks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

Hotel has a fantastic location right at the Creekside Gondola. The room was very comfortable and attractive. The kitchen was well stocked, and even the complementary coffee was decent. The only thing missing were some paper towels or napkins. The en suite washer/dryer was a huge plus, and detergent was provided. There is also an excellent grocery store right across the street. I would suggest hitting the deli there before hitting the slopes to get a huge baguette sandwich for about 1/3 of what you will pay slopeside! There is a popular sushi joint and a good pizza place (Creekbread) within a short walking distance, among other places we did not try. We have stayed in Whistler Village a few times so have already experienced that scene. This was our first time at Creekside and if all you want to do is ski, eat, and relax in your room or in the jacuzzi this place is perfect.

Room Tip: We had a one bedroom suite on the highway (front) side of the building.(Room 408) The deck had a nic...

Good hotel. It include good facilities and provide great services. You can relax and take a good holiday when stay in Legend. Silent environment anyou d then you can take a good break there. The kitchen is well equipped and it is good for family to cook a nice dinner. Good family gathering. Besides this, TV is with HDMI cable and you can see online program by connecting this cable with your laptop. This is good hotel with good facility and it can fulfill customers' needs.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit fo 1 week in March this year. The unit was furnished really well. A lot of the small things had been thought of, such as scissors, colander, and other small kitchen utensils and also laundry and kitchen powders etc). The in room washer and dryer was a great bonus. The staff were so friendly and extremely helpful. We used the outdoor heated spa and found it very relaxing, all be it popular. Get in early to beat the rush. The resort media room is also a great way to relax. The hotel is right beside the Creekside Gondola. Next to the hotel is Dusty's, a great place to eat. A short stroll away is a small but well stocked supermarket, which means you can cook your own meals if you are inclined to do so. The walk to the Southside Diner is less than 10 mins away and there are also a few other eateries in the area. The bus to and from Whistler Village picks up and drops off at the door. Legends is quality all the way. Thanks for making our stay so pleasurable.

Legends is a well appointed rental. Two minute walk to the gondola. Parking was $15.00 a night but worth it for the convenience. After reading a previous review we did request ( and were given) a unit on the creekside, this is the opposite side from the street and the pub.(Dustys). Highly recommend you do this as well. We did hear several people complain about the noise on the pub side. Staff are top drawer, very helpful and friendly. Nice trails close by to walk to the local lakes. You can walk, via the well maintained trail,to Whistler village that is about 4 k's away. (About 2.5 miles).

Room Tip: Ask for creekside room.

Location is fantastic, the staff very friendly and helpful, the suite and kitchen very well appointed, they even offer access to the spa and exercise room facilities until 10pm the day we checked out.
The very small minus is that they didn't have any connection for MP3 players, only CD's which we no longer have.
This is our new favorite place to stay in Whistler!

Leading a group of 24 skiers across the continent and into Canada from the US can be daunting. Our week-ling stay at Legends has to be looked at with mixed comments.

The facility is really nice -- spacious lobby, handy ski storage, comfortable rooms, excellent slope access, etc. We arrived about 9 pm on a Saturday night and the bell man was a bit overwhelmed, but jumped right to the task. We weren't really expecting baggage service so his work was appreciated.. We were soon settled in for the evening. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

A comment about the rooms. We occupied 6 - two bedroom/two bath condos. While they were nicely appointed, the bedrooms could have used more adequate drawer space. They did have a nightstand and very small chest of drawers and some closet shelves, but several folks mentioned the lack of drawer space. Another issue with the furnishings is the fact one bedroom had a split king and the other a non-splittable king bed. That meant that one person in condos occupied with four singles had to sleep on the living room sleep sofa. That is certainly doable, but not the most comfortable nor convenient arrangement. There appears to be NO reason for not having split kings in each bedroom, making for maximum rental flexibility.

The staff provided fresh towels throughout the week and linen changes mid-week.

The Legends is very conveniently located adjacent to the Creekside Gondola. From the ski storage room it is just a very short walk across the courtyard to the gondola base. That worked very well going and coming. Less convenient, however, is access to the main Whistler Village.

While Whistler Creekside and Whistler Village are part of the same resort and the lifts from both locations serve all of the same mountains and trails, the shuttle bus between the bases requires payment of a fare ranging from $1.80 each way (for seniors buying tickets in groups of ten) to $2.50 each way (for non-seniors paying with cash on board). This, in and of itself, is surprising for transportation WITHIN a resort and the logistics of payment were even more annoying.

The Legends does sell single tickets at the front desk; a nice service. However, they only sell full fare tickets and neither senior nor bulk discount tickets. In fact, there is apparently NO place in Creekside that sells the bulk tickets. The whole process seems shortsighted for groups (or others) without their own transportation to access the businesses in the Village.

[As an aside, I should say that I was able to purchase the group tickets in advance by phone and have them delivered to Legends awaiting our arrival. Special thanks to Emma Dal Santo with the Resort Municipality of Whistler and Jody Warren of Tourism Whistler for going above and beyond to arrange the purchase and deliver the tickets so we could travel to our group dinners in the Village.]

We found Creekside to be somewhat limiting in meal and shopping options. Dusty's was certainly convenient (located adjacent to Legends) and adequate, but too loud and the food was not impressive. A short walk took us to the Southside Dinner which we enjoyed.

The bottom line for Legends is that the lodging is nice, has good access to skiing, but is pretty much isolated for groups or others without personal transportation.
