“Great stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

My partner and I stayed here in October, during the down season, so prices were at a special rate (which was very cheap!). Overall our stay was pleasant, comfortable and enjoyable. Everything was in order in the room. Since if was off-peak, it was really quiet so we didn't experience any high levels of noise. Location was excellent, right next to the village. I requested a mountain side view which we received (a beautiful view).

The only thing I would say is that the hotel does not have a laundry (only dryers), and there is no public laundry mats in the village, you would have to drive out (5-10mins) to Creekside which has the nearest laundry. Since we didn't rent a car, this was inconvenient and a taxi ride costs roughly $10-$12 one way.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a mountain view.

As a longtime resident of Vancouver, I've stayed in whistler many nights. Just tried this hotel through a deal find. Great clean, hotel with no hassle. Has nice gym hot tub, sauna although they could turn up heat in hot tub a tad. Location is good. If you don't want to pay for 5* but have a comfortable place to sleep. Parking around is good but costs $19/night. Staff was polite but no one went out of their way although we didn't need/expect this.

We booked this hotel through our travel agent for my husbands 30th Birthday. Hotel location is amazing its right out on the edge of the village and its very quiet! Our room was basic, we did spend quite a lot of time in the room as we weren't skiiers however did ski for a day. The hotel had a lack things to do, if you were a skiier this hotel would be for you as you'd be on the slopes all day. The room was lovely and clean and very modern, I had read on here that it had been recently reburbished prior to us getting there. A job well done if you ask me! This hotel would have been perfect had we not visited another hotel on our trip. We ate most days at the white spot which is 100 yards away. It took us till the 3rd visit to realise that if we had said we were staying at the Aava that we would get a discount! Food there was great! Sadly enough we wouldn't stay here again for a week, a long weekend would be ample especially if there for winter sports. I must also add that the staff were amazing! I emailed the hotel ahead of our trip to ask if they could organise for a 30th Birthday balloon to be in our room on arrival. This was done and we were not charged crazyily for this!

This hotel is in the perfect location and great for the price. As others have said, the walls are very thin. When we checked in it sounded like the people above us were rehearsing for a tumbling routine...we quickly went to the front desk and asked to move. They were very friendly and accommodating although the hotel was fairly empty. I am sure it might be difficult with a full crowd. Hotel was clean, beds are awesome!
White Spot in the same parking lot which was convenient at breakfast time, however, bad service both mornings!

Room Tip: I would ask for a room on the 4th floor of the West Wing...

Stayed a couple if nights to unwind from busy city life. Truly enjoyed the Fall and had the taste of snow early this year. Hot tub was an added fun and hotel is a walk to restaurants and shopping. We walked thru the village and to Blackcomb to enjoy the snow

Great location &resonabe price. Great hot tub to chill out in after a long bike ride. Just steps to the village as well which was also great for legs after a long bike ride. As other users have mentioned there was not a restaurant in the hotel itself but there was White Spot across the parking lot. Also the village liquor store and grocery story where just a short walk away.
