“something different”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2014 via mobile

We tried a couple of whistler brewing companies beers while at some of the local restaurants but they are not really pushed as most of the pubs have agreements with major brewers. We found the whiskey jack and the black tusk really quite good, tasty, different and not your usual generic beers.

So it was raining and as we were near the end of the day we decided to drop by. In a small industrial area just down the road from Creekside a small brewery occupies a few of the units. Nothing special about the location, just a casual spot, nothing avant garde, more industrial but with good seating. The attraction is the beer, good variety of beers and reasonable ptrices to try them out.

Great way to spend a couple of hours and to try some craft beers away from the corporate feel of many of whistler s bigger restaurants.

Also checkout the bakery next door, it has superior baked goods, not cheap but again, some thing special.

“Cozy place for a beer”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2014 via mobile

This pub was cozy, we sat near the fireplace. The server was very friendly. The place was clean and had a nice decor. It is located right in Whistler Village. The food was pretty good but expensive. We have found that everything in Whistler is double the price so be prepared to spend a fortune here. If you are on a budget you may want to stick to McDonalds or buying groceries to make your own meals.

“Good activity rain, snow or shine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2013

This brewery is a nice place to go while in Whistler. We participated in the tour which included 4 brews to taste for the tour costs of $14.50 per person. The atmosphere is very nice and the manager was very pleasant and knowledgable.

“Soup's on!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

About 5 minutes before you get to Whistler, take a left at the lights at Function Junction. Then another one, and there you are. Kind of a small pocket of light industrial mixed with some shops (killer bread shop across the street!). But the big building with the giant windows lets you watch all the brewing action from outside if you want. Trust me, you WILL want to go in! The flavours they create once things move beyond the soup in the mash tun - Yummy! I was on my own and the only one for the tour. Not just one but two very nice people accommodated me, always with a generous sample in my hand. It wasn't a trek, like on a wine tour. Actually quite a compact space with lots of busy-ness going on. Learning the lingo made it not seem like a lecture and Hugh was very engaging. Then I ordered the warm and silky squash soup on the pub side - divine & unbelievably decadent! The recipe would not be shared. =( It went so well with the seasonal Chestnut Ale. So some of that went with me as well =)

“Totally worth a visit, even more so if you enjoy beer!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

Was very pleased with the tour and tasting of this craft brewery. Generous sampling of four of their many beers, and enjoyed learning about what makes this micro brewery unique. Brewmaster who gave us the tour was knowledgeable, energetic, and friendly.

The small pub attached to the plant serves appetizers that always brings in a good crowd with a neighbourhood feel to it. My spouse is not a beer drinker, but thoroughly enjoyed the tour offered at a discounted price of $8.50 instead of the $13.50 tasting price. Totally worth it for the 30-40 minute tour and tasting during and afterwards!

All their brews are for sale at the same prices as the BCL stores, but with the full selection available here, both chilled or not.
