Whistler was at its best. Fabulous hot clear weather and the Golden Dreams B&B capped the stay off. Very relaxed and friendly. Helpful, willing to book, advise and share ideas and great things to do. Great year round facilities.

Whistler is a hidden gem in summer. I did not know that it provided so much activity and variety. Get on to it.

Thanks

Beautiful house, view and great hostess!!

Close to all the attractions without the costs of an expensive hotel.

Hi there and thanks for the positive remarks you posted on Trip Adviser! It was so nice to have you stay with us and your enthusiasm over our decor was such a compliment to me. It is always nice to arrive at a B&B and find it better than you expected!
Hope the little souvenir bear you took home is a reminder of your summer trip to Whistler - you should see it here in the winter too!

The Good:
1. Room had a very nice poofy bed
2. Living room was nice with its own TV
3. Some kind of sweet liquor in room – an added bonus
4. Trail advice from hostess was good.

The Bad:
1. Reception the first night was just a note tacked to the door
2. Black mold was growing around a hatch in the bedroom closet
3. Room had a persistently bad odour that was only alleviated by leaving the window open
4. Breakfast was an unimaginative 2 course affair (compared to the five advertised on the website, unless coffee counts as a course)
5. Hostess was unwilling to prepare breakfast before 7am—weird in a ski town
6. Bike rental at $10 per hour was not a good value as the bike was poorly maintained
7. Cancellation policy is evil: read the fine print carefully
8. Hot tub was stinky and a bit slimy
9. Aztec Room window opened directly onto the public deck, had to listen to hot-tub pump all night as a consequence.

Sometimes, we are forced to welcome guests with a note - innkeepers have lives too.

We have replaced the carpet in the AZTEC room (as well as our other 2 rooms) and are currently planning on redecorating/transforming it to the "Rainforest" room.

Yes, coffee is considered a "course" in our five course breakfast - so is juice! A fruit cup or smoothie is always served as an appetizer, followed by a hot entree. For example: sunflower seed homemade bread french toast topped with my peach-raspberry sauce(berries from our garden!) - one guest complimented me as "food artist!" Then there is always cereals or biscotti or granola if required.

If guests require an early start I offer to preparing a "breakfast to go." Complete with coffee travel mugs.

We no longer offer bike rentals, but do make recommendations of shops with discounts offered to our guests.

ALL hotels have cancellation policies. I like to think of ours as a guideline, however, ours does state that "any nights rebooked will be refunded to the guest." Correct - read the fine print!
