“Comfortable stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

One night stop-over-clean, comfortable, ac on third floor two-queen room. Good beds, breakfast a bonus, but gets very busy. Staff helpful, ideal location, not in the chaos of the village centre, but close enough to be near everything. Pay to park, but convenient to remain in lot until 4pm, give us chance to have a day out before heading to Sun Peaks.

Room Tip: Make sure to get one with ac in the summer as it gets hot

Location was great, quality of beds were poor, some noise outside late at night but not bad. The desk had different rates than what was quoted to use but didn't argue about it but this should not happen and that goes back to your communication. it all worked out in the end. Paying for hotel parking seemed to be a gimmick to raise the price of the rooms?

A few weeks ago we stayed in this delightful hotel. It was super clean. The registration went smoothly. We were offered payed parking underground for an extra charge of $18.00.A bit of a surprise but we took it rather than search for a parking space .

It was really close to the village . Very quiet at night too so we enjoyed a cozy sleep. Got up too late to enjoy the breakfast.

We stayed here in early July with 2 gandkids on a 10 day roadtrip. Room was small and very hot. No AIR CONDITIONING meant little sleep. Tile grout in shower was black(mold?). Very disappointed but as we prepaid online were unable to move to another hotel. We will never.....I repeat never stay or recommend this hotel unless price is the only consideration. A huge disappointment and worst stay on our trip. Whistler on the the other hand was great.

Room Tip: In summer find another hotel. No AC.

A pleasant stay helped by friendly staff. We had pre-booked via a third party and everything was in order when we arrived. The extra parking charge was a surprise and make sure you do use a double spot. Breakfast was good, varied choice and plenty. The location is great, right near the heart of Whistler for food, drinks and the end of the slopes. Standard Room was clean, no frills. Now the pool - it isn't there anymore, a disappointment as we have kids and one of the reasons we picked this hotel.

We stayed two nights at the end of June and found the hotel to be good value for money (it was the lowest nightly charge of our 4 hotels in BC). The room was comfortable with two Queen size beds, so plenty room for two. AC unit noisy, so slept with window open, which meant a rude awakening when the Whistler Golf Club started cutting the grass in front of their Clubhouse at 6.30am!
The included continental breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice. The hotel also has a hot-tub and guest laundry, both of which we made use of, though the hot-tub is rather small and fine for two, would have been very cosy if more people had turned up.
Location-wise, this hotel is at one end of the Village Stroll, about 3 minutes walk to the Peak-2-Peak base station.
The main downside was the $18 daily charge for parking in the hotel underground car park, when the village car park (albeit at the other end of the Vilage Stroll and about 15 minutes away) charges $30 for a 30 day season ticket.

Whistler has always been overpriced, but especially since the Olympics, some hotels have upgraded their prices but not their accommodations. Listel is definitely no exception; Stayed over night with some friends in summer and there was no A/C so we had to sleep with windows open and were still dying of heat. Our rooms faced the front of building, but we still had to put up with delivery truck noise in the early morning; Continental breakfast was hard boiled eggs and muffins; towels had stains on them; all fixtures and decor were at 3-star level (really, I've seen better at a highway-side Sandman Inn); A manager told my friend "you get what you pay for." At $160/night, if you can't accommodate summer weather, then technically this is your off-season, and if these are off-season prices, I'd hate to know how much poor saps are paying in the winter.

Room Tip: Save $8 by parking around the corner at the convention centre.
