“Great value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2011

This hotel offers the luxury of a 4-5 star hotel for the price of a 3 star hotel. We took advantage of a special ($100/night) and were impressed with the modern look and cleanliness of the room. A continental breakfast was included, which is always nice, and we had access to a hot tub. The location was also perfect - close to everything in the pedestrian village. I would definitely go back there, especially during ski season, because of the proximity of the hotel to the ski lifts.

Room Tip: Perfect for ski in - ski out trips.

This was a recommended hotel to stay at by the visitor centre representatives. It was on special for $100 bucks (included a breakfast). One of the managers (zac) suggested the peak to peak gondola ride and it was unreal! Definitely a great choice, and would stay again in a heart beat! Thank-you listel staff!

Driving to Edmonton from Vancouver via Highway 99. Like to stop one night in Whistler during shoulder season, Chose this hotel after a Web search for my criteria including underground parking (public parking is a long way from "Village" hotels). Web site promoted underground parking without any conditions. Reserved room on the Web, then paid deposit by credit card. After this deal was done, the confirmation then announced - oh yes - $18 per night for parking. This is entrapment and misleading!! Not a fair business practice as there were other hotel room deals in Whistler at this time of year (end September).

Hotel reasonable, staff courteous and room good. Hallway noise prevalent.

Room Tip: South rooms face a partial mountain and park view but overlook utility and delivery side of hotel.

Perhaps a bit misleading, several websites listed the Listel as a Best Western hotel. Not that I'm stuck on Best Western but on this trip we found them about the best and only upon booking via the Listel website did I discover that they were no longer affiliated with BW. Anyway, we had difficulty finding the place at first and parking was very limited at the front of the hotel for checking in. But checking in was a snap and getting around to the underground parking area easy. Parking is limited tho and if full they "stack" the cars where ever they can which can make leaving a chore if you have other cars parked behind you.
This hotel is fairly busy and the carpets etc are showing their age. Our room was ok with the expected standard features. It looked over the alleyway at the back and was very noisy early in the morning with delivery trucks and trash pickup.
The breakfast was ok but limited and not equal to what was provided at Best Westerns.
Overall it's pretty average. Staff were friendly and efficient. Wifi access pretty quick and good. We didn't eat at the attached restaurant so can't comment. The location of the hotel is good though and it's a short walk to just about everything in Whistler.

If you need to be on the main strip (connected to the so-called 'village stroll' in disneyfied Whistler) then this hotel is in the right location. In terms of hotel facilities and room quality this is no more than average. Rooms are reasonably equipped but expect plenty of noise from delivery trucks in the morning if you are in a room at the rear of the hotel, and plenty of noise from other hotel residents as there's not much sound-proofing. The breakfast is served buffet style in a very basic canteen style room and is ok. So in summary: AVERAGE

Room Tip: The wifi is irritating as you have to keep re-entering the hotel wep-key. The hot-tub is in a bizar...

We arrived here late in the evening from our flight to Vancouver. The woman on the desk was very polite, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious, but the noise level from the movement of guests above the room was high - not inconsiderate guests just poor noise insulation. The air con was very noisy too.

I have stayed at the Listel several times before and once again we had a GREAT time.
Right in the heart of the village, walking distance to all the fun Whistler has to offer.
We love the Bearfoot Bistro and it's great to get up from the table and be able to go upstairs to bed.

Room Tip: check out the Listel website for deals
