“Crankworx Week”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 days ago NEW

Booked this hotel via website. It was my husband's 40th bday and wanted to celebrate in whistler during crankworx week. Requested the romance package with additional details with Robert the manager of Adara Hotel. He was able to accommodate my special request for our special week in whistler. It was wonderful. Upon arrival I was impressed with the friendly staff. The staff member mentioned that Robert had also upgraded my room to a bigger room and less noisy. The was unexpected and I appreciated the extra gesture. During my stay I was able to meet Robert and was impressed with his level of service. He asked if we were enjoying our stay and how my husband was enjoying his birthday week here. Loved the little touches of coffee, apples, cookies, and granola bars offered complimentary daily. Love boutique hotels. It's small, convenient, less crowded, no long line ups at check in and you don't have to walk miles and miles to get to your room. The location is perfect. Dead centre of restaurants and shopping. You don't have to walk far for anything.

Absolutely perfect location to explore Whistler in the summer. Feels like a small European inn - simple lobby and rooms (though very clean), reasonable rates, and as it was July we were able to check in early. The staff was friendly but ask questions ... we were not told about the excellent coffee (and when it was available) and hot granola bars in the morning (we stumbled on these) and were not aware there was a pool or bar until after our stay. However we will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at this great but smaller hotel. The location was fantastic considering the blistering heat we had at Whistler, as it meant everything was close at hand. The swimming pool was fantastic allowing us to cool down after a hot day and was clean and well kept. The rooms were original with enough subtle differences to make it feel unique. The view from our hotel room up to the peaks was also a plus. We felt we were welcomed by the front desk staff in a genuine friendly manner and we had a few chats over our stay. The freshly baked treats each day or fruit and fresh coffee or water in the reception area was a nice touch and really appreciated. We would definitely come back here again.

Room Tip: The rooms facing into the village green were great during the hot spell as it enabled us to use the...

In a town full of high end hotels, Adara is not the top of the pile on luxury and decor alone. But when you add in value and the friendly staff, it's one of the best places to stay in Whistler.

The rooms are a good size, and nicely decorated, and even have a boot dryer, which would be great come ski season. I was there in an exceedingly warm July, and the air-con was a little tricky to work out, but it did the job. The decor does not feel extremely new, but it is far from tired, I'd say comfortable and casual.

While I was there, they had some problems with their water tank, and I was relocated from my basic room to a suite. I preferred the basic room because it had desk are where I could work, but I was not going to complain.

The rooms also have a microwave and refrigerator, which is great if you feel the need to eat in.
On Saturday evening, my room was pretty noisy from the revellers in the neighbouring bars and the street below - but I came to Whistler for fun, not for peace and quiet. And the room had a multi-function white noise generator, so I could drown out the revellers with the calming sounds of waves, rainfall etc.

A cosy reception area - complete with freshly baked cookies along with complementary apples, water and coffee, combine with a hot tub and pool to make this a compelling stay. The friendly and helpful staff are the icing on the cake.

Are there "better" places to stay in Whistler? I think probably, are there better value places? I highly doubt it.

Room Tip: Rooms on the south (Village Green) side are quieter than those on the north (Golfer's Approach...

Rarely do we feel compelled to write a review of a hotel despite the fact that we travel at least half of the year all over the world. In this case, we were simply overwhelmed by the care the management took to assure our stay was terrific and successful.
As we walked into this beautiful little gem, we instantly felt at home. The ultra-chic lobby, great greeting with warm chocolate chip cookies and an exceedingly accommodating staff helped us dust off the weariness from our two days on the road. The rooms had everything including a grey noise machine that including gentle rainfall, surf or other natural sounds. They were very clean and the furniture had a great modern meets mountains vibe.
From the care of the Australian, British, German workers who took a lot of pride in helping to the warm and generous general manager Robert, we became quite at home very quickly. For that extra spirit in a nice casual style, we can't recommend this hotel highly enough!

Room Tip: The loft rooms are particularly unique.

We stayed at the Adara hotel for one night in July. It really enhanced the Whistler experience. It was in a quiet area just near Whistler Village, close enough to all amenities, but far enough to have a great night sleep. As you walk in, there are fresh complimentary cookies right from the oven. Green apples are always available at the lobby, as well as water and fresh coffee. In the morning, we were offered homemade breakfast bars that looked amazing. Our room was a two storey loft. When you walk in! It looks like a living room, complete with a TV (although we couldn't get to to work), Bodum coffee press and coffee, and a full kitchen with microwave and fridge. At the top was the bedroom, with a patio overlooking the area. My only complaint was that checkout seemed too early for a hotel in Whistler. Other hotels we have stayed at made an effort to let us stay a bit longer than checkout, or at least to take our needs into consideration. They did offer to store our luggage for us, bit we were not pleased that it was not in a separate, locked facility. A nice touch was that when he went down to collect our car, we found a bottle of Adara water in the car's cup holder. The staff in the front desk were friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Room Tip: I have a feeling that all the rooms are good, so choose one with a nice view.

I loved this hotel. We got a loft one-bedroom. The decor was modern without taking away the comfortable feeling. The guys at the front desk are really great and knowledgeable. They bake fresh cookies in the lobby and give you water, apples and coffee. The room was really nice. It had a fire place, boot warmer, 2 tvs (one up, one down) but the one downstairs didn't work. The room had a PS3, great blackout shades and a kitchenette without a sink. The kettle didn't work so they sent up a brand new one out of the box. It was a bit noisy but not from the village- from the hall and other rooms. There was a little rooftop patio off the upstairs bedroom. The heating/AC was a little difficult to master but we eventually figured it out. We requested late checkout. The concierge was about to respond in an accommodating way when the manager stepped out and was really pompous and just kept repeating what the policy was. He mentioned that the room was occupied after us but the day before, we inquired about staying an extra day and they said the room was free. If it's your policy and you're sticking to it, I get it. But don't tell me the room is occupied. Plus, there's a professional way of being firm while making sure your guests walk away happy. He obviously didn't care. He did drive the car to us from the valet when we left and they leave a water bottle for you in the car, which was nice. But the manager gave us a bad taste.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the quiet side. Hotel is in a little cul de sac with the Listel and Crystal lodge...
