We arrived late evening but called to confirm our arrival as there was an accident on Hwy#1. To come after such a long day and get to the hotel that we have come to twice in the past and looked forward to having a royal mess up with our room. We called specifically to book a certain 2 bedroom suite without the galley style kitchen, and WITH the bar type kitchen with the 'L' shaped couch, windows and fire place. This worse part is that we called specifically to book this room, then to only arrive to disappointment. When we called down to the front desk initially I was told by the woman with an accent (can't remember her name, I want to say Ivanka) that the room I described didn't exist (who booked us when we called). Excuse me, YOUR OUTRIGHT LYING TO CLIENTS?!? So, at this point being upset about a trip that we were so looking forward to at a hotel we use to like- I grabbed my laptop went onto the website and brought it down to the front desk with the photo of the room from their website with title and description with the specifications we called about to book two weeks prior.
All I can say is I guess its a good thing the accident on the HWY caused us to arrive late versus having the whole day so we can just move to a new room tomorrow. Jordan (on shift management) did his best to make the situation right and upgraded us to the 3 bedroom suite at no extra cost for tomorrow night. We'll see how this plays out and write the review for that experience.
Lesson Learned - it was 'advanced summer sale' - I guess 'you truly you get what you pay for'
- Will not pay to come back, they do not value customers but point for 'trying' to make it right after calling down to the front desk twice, then having to physically go to the front desk with my laptop after being called a liar.
OH AND GET THIS! So we show up joking around saying that our trip was from hell with the accident so they comp' our parking for one day - which was sweet way to start off. After we came back downstairs to deal with the room issues they threw that in our faces saying they didn't need to do that... Not cool...
Hopefully tomorrow night goes better.... I won't hold my breath.
