“Stay during the snow storm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

The hotel is great, and is almost a 4 star by city standards but definitely a 4 star by mountain standards. They do not have a restaurant so that's something to keep in mind.

However, their staff especially the ofront desk was amazing. Our car got stuck in heavy snow and we had to leave it in village and then get a taxi to reach the resort. We were in a panic mode and very scared. The car had skid on the highway while fully parked with hand brakes on...and out infant was in the car....anyways the front desk guy calmed us down. And next morning we said we'll extend our stay as we don not know when we'll be able to get our car out. He said ok and got us the same room. BUT, whenwe reached the village the snow had been ploughed and the roads were drivable. We didn't want to risk another snow storm (which apparently was to start that evening) so we called the hotel to cancel our newly booked room. The customer service person said 48 hr notice but the hotels front desk guy(Jordan) understood our state of mind and cancelled our next day reservation with no penalty etc.

Of all the hotels I've stayed in NA, this place gave me the best service and I'm only staying here every time I visit whistler...thought I should share my experience as in today's world it's difficult to differentiate between good and great places to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor room away from hotel entrance

“You know that pool you always see from the gondola...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

When you're leaving Blackcomb base and you look off to your left and you see the steaming pool and two hottubs... that's this place. You know you've drooled over that hottub, isn't it time you stayed here?

This hotel is in a quieter part of Whistler, a short distance from the Lower Village, but right beside Blackcomb base. We stayed here in November before the ski season started as a quiet getaway for a friend's birthday, and overall had a great time, and would definitely recommend it. The room was a suite, spacious and well-equipped, two bedrooms, two baths, full kitchen, balcony, and would have comfortably slept several more than the 5 adults we had in the room. The master bedroom was quite nice, the second bedroom had a double-size bunk bed (top and bottom) of average comfort. The couch also converted into a sofa bed.

The service really went above and beyond - the reservation folks had told us parking was free in the offseason (it's not), and the staff were clearly empathetic to our cause; they even sent up a hand-written apology in a lovely card!

ADVENTURE TIP: It's a short stroll across the mountain base to the Whistler Sliding Centre; when we were there they were practicing skeleton and we got front-row seats!

GEEK TIP: If you want to plug an HDMI device into the TV to watch your own videos etc., you need to unplug both the coax and cat5 cables for the hotel system to get the TV buttons to work. Don't forget to put it all back the way you found it!

“Great get away location! :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

What a great location! Just outside of the village but very easy to get everywhere with a free shuttle every 15 min. The hotel and hotel staff are very warm and make you feel cozy. The room is huge, clean, and all have nice kitchens for cooking. Long story short, friendly staff, hotel, great location, clean, friendly, yummy complimentary breakfast, and a great price!

Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Room Tip: Always be extra friendly to the front desk and housekeeping staff it will help you in the long run...

“Amazing guy at front desk!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012 via mobile

I had an awesome time here with my grandmother, and grandfather and my mother, room was awesome, very quiet but most of all I loved speaking with Jordan at the front desk. He was not only an amazing help with everything but he its a very hansom man. The pool was great as well.i couldn't believe how warm the water was dispite the cold weather. Enjoyed having laundry area to use, was very helpful! Again, we loved it.

“Great hotel with awesome pools & spas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

A great hotel, but a bit out of the way from whistler village, but pretty simple and easy to get to and from with the free shuttle bus that runs about every half hour from out the front, so depends what you're going there for really

We were there in fall, but in winter it would be a fantastic location with great ski in/out right to blackcomb mountain

great included breakfast, but can get a bit busy down there and a table hard to score so might have to take up to room to eat

awesome heated pool and hot spas right on the slope side out the back
