“Decent mid-range hotel in an overpriced resort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

Pretty standard business-type hotel, probably more expensive than you would pay for similar quality in another location, but we found the room and facilities as expected.

The room was clean with decent kitchenette facilities, and the bathroom was spacious with a great shower and Philosophy products. The coffee was awful although the housekeeper did bring us some better stuff on request! We also made use of the hot tubs which was lovely after a hard day on the slopes! Wifi was a bit hit-and-miss during our stay, I believe because of 'planned maintenance' that overran.

We were pleased with the location in the village - restaurants and ski lifts were within easy reach on foot or via the free shuttle, and it was great to be able to use the ski lockers at the base of the Excalibur gondola; the staff at the ski shop in the hotel were also very helpful. I would definitely consider staying here again.

The hotel is located about 8-10 minutes walk from the Carleton Ski Store at the base of Whistler mountain (which is well worth the storage fee or free if you hire from them). The walk through the village from the hotel each morning was nice and got you warmed up for skiing.
The hotel itself is a great base for skiers. Friendly, clean, really comfy beds and generally quiet.
The only noise is from the noisy bathroom extractor fans (which can be turned off), the air conditioning/heating system (again, best to turn off at night) and from a neighbouring nightclub. The nightclub did not overly worry us but it seemed strange that you could hear the bass from the music but there was no noise from neighbouring rooms to the side or above. If you are a light sleeper, ear plugs would be a recommendation.
There are plenty of good restaurants close by all offering great food and good service.
We were with 3 other families and all of us would return again if the opportunity arises.

Room Tip: Ask for a refurbished room.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Our location being on the Village Stroll does have it's perks as you mentioned but we can appreciate that there is a certain element of noise that can come with our location. We hope to see you again in the future and thank you for choosing to stay with us!

4 of us went to Whistler to ski for a week. We found the hotel to be nice and the cleanliness was good. Some areas in the hallways had quite a few marks and scratches from either the maids carts or bellmans carts which made it look a little worn. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful at all times. We utilized the services of the Concierge to make dinner reservations several times and everything went smoothly. Two negatives about the room was that our room had been renovated and when someone hung the bedroom door back on afterwards they did not do it properly and the door was not able to be closed. Certainly the housekeeping department should have noticed this and reported it to maintenance but apparently that was not the case. Management too should have seen this upon their final inspection after renovations. But overall not a dealbreaker by any means. Wifi was terrible and mostly non-existant, which was surprising as their hotel pitch on the TV said they were geared toward business travelers. I had to go elsewhere to get a reliable connection. I did bring it up to the desk right away and they said they had someone was working on it but it did not improve in the slightest during the entire week. We did use the ski rental shop in the building which smelled of feet probably due to their ski boot rentals, but that is not under their control. We also ate 1 breakfast at the hotel breakfast room which was in the bar and felt that way too. Ambience was lacking and quality of our 4 breakfasts was not up to par as well as expensive. A much better breakfast can be had at Elements, which was a short distance away. See my seperate review of that restaurant. Pool area had an outdoor pool as well as two outdoor and 1 indoor hot tub. Area seemed clean and towels were provided. Tubs were comfortably warm.
Would I stay here again...yes, the location in the village was excellent and the value was good (Whistler is expensive). I don't normally post photos unless there is a significant reason. Too many redundant photos of most places as it is. I have stayed here before.
In the interest of full disclosure I was a former Hotel Front Office Manager for 11 years.

While the room was nice , the value sucked. Whistler itself has little to NO snow. With that in mind the hotel has few of its own amenities. They have adjoining restaurants but none of their own which means PRIVILEDGE members have no advantage.
Other privilege exclusions at this hotel
- latest checkout is only 1pm, unlike other delta destinations
- cant use your privilege card for meals
- upgrades are not really upgrades, they 'upgraded' us to a noisy suite over the parking lot. No sleep
- No turn down service was offered
Guess I am just a spoiled Privilege member but I stayed Delta ALOT to earn it. Marriot took over a couple of days ago, lets see what they do with their commitments.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. On behalf of the entire team we would like to apologize for the negative experience you had with us. We are excited about the partnership with Marriott and what lies ahead however we are still fully committed to our Delta Privilege program and again apologize for falling short on delivering these benefits.

The room was clean and comfortable (king bed and sofa bed). Gas fire place, kitchen and dinning table w/ four chairs. The best is the washer and dryer in the room. Ski rental shop in the lobby. The parking space is spacious. The staff was friendly. The hotel is in a great location in the village, the quiet end. I would stay here again.

This hotel is amazing! Every member of staff we spoke to was unbelievably helpful and friendly. We were warned on arrival about our room being above the night club and at any point day or night it became to much they would sort another room for us. We got an upgrade as it was our honeymoon and when the night club did get a bit much they changed our room, no questions asked at 11pm. They even offered to come and help us move our stuff or whether we would like to sleep in the new room and move our stuff in the morning!

The night before we left we realised that our hotel on Calgary was a looong way from the airport and we had no idea how the buses worked, so we went and asked reception and they said they do some phoning around and let us know. Within half and hour we had a call to our room to say they had found out about the buses and would print out the details for us so we could collect them when we checked out.

Lovely rooms, stunning views and amazing staff! Thank you ;)

A shout out to Bekki and the other staff at the front desk for outstanding service (and remembering our names). We were well looked after during our 10 day stay. A one bedroom unit in building 1 kept us way from the noise from Garfinkels. Some minor wear and tear as it was the end of the ski season.

Easy walks along Village Stroll to lifts, groceries and all manner of shops.

Room Tip: Best in Building 1, to look up to Backcomb Mountain and into the inner quadrangle with the trees, bu...
