We stayed for 5 days/4 nights in April, having stayed at somewhat higher end (and pricier) hotels on our prior trips to Whistler. I must say that I went into this hotel fully expecting to be disappointed but left rather content. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with kitchen, den, and fireplace. The room was sufficiently large, clean, and quiet; and the kitchen was well-stocked with plates, glasses, and cooking utensils. There was a washer & dryer right in the unit, which was extremely hand for washing teen-age-smelly ski undergarments after a few days of use. Everything was in good working order. The service at the hotel was excellent, from the front reception to the housekeeping, and in particular the concierge/doorman who helped with everything from bags to umbrellas (when it rained) to restaurant recommendations. I personally did not use the pool & hot tub, but my 14 year old son (who has also stayed at some more upscale establishments) did and he was very happy with them. If I was to be picky, I would point out that the location - while quite central within Whistler Village - is a bit of a hike to the ski hill (if wearing & carrying your ski gear). But the hotel provides a very regular shuttle service to the bottom of the main ski lifts that we used regularly and was convenient. The rooms could use a little updating - bathrooms & bed linen in particular - but everything was clean and in good working condition. In summary, I wouldn't call this a high-end hotel. But if you are looking for a good, clean, basic place to stay in Whistler that offers good amenities & service, and at a very decent price (by Whistler standards), I think you would be hard-pressed to find better value.
