During the period from May to September of 2011 we stayed 30 days at the Pan Pacific Mountainside and achieved black card status. We found that the staff were superlative, making sure that everything was to our liking. The hotel is extremely well located. A walk out the back door and you at the base of Whistler Mountain and the lift and also on Whistler's main stroll area. Out the front door and you are a five minute walk to the base of Blackcomb Mountain and the Farmer's Market during the summer months.

As you will see from the replies to these posts Nicole Leddy is very attentive to guest's feedback.

We just completed our first stay of this year at the hotel and it was even past the expectations that we have come to expect. We look forward to another summer. We thank Nicole and all the staff that went out of their way to welcome us back. They are willing to go the extra mile.

Room Tip: Because the studios and the one bedroom suites have full kitchens (including dishwashers) they are e...

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel for a business meeting and had another good experience. If you're having a meeting with 8-16 people, try the Singing Pass room located on the 6th floor of the hotel. It has high ceilings, a separate room for a catered meal or social and has a large boardroom style table. The meeting room is a little on the narrow side but manageable. Front desk service was very good during check in and check out and and was always friendly to deal with. My guest room was a 1 BR suite which was well laid out with a kitchen, gas fireplace and all the amenities of home. The location of the hotel is very good right in the Whistler Village near the ski lift (although didn't have time to who up the mountin this trip).

My wife and I booked last minute for May 26, 2012, locals rate. Reservation done over the phone. They asked us when we would be arriving and we told them we would be up early as we were driving from North Vancouver. We arrived at the hotel at 10:30 hoping just to be able to park and hang out at the pool a little early. Free parking was a bonus with our booking. No problem we could check in. Unpacked and relaxing by the pool by 11:00. Studio room was very nice, murphy bed, fold out couch in living room, fully equiped kitchen and everything you would need if you wanted to cook in. Very clean. Small balcony with a view of the mountains. We were told they were basically sold out, but it really did not appear to be overly busy. What was really nice also was that after we checked out we still had parking available and full use of the pool and facilities until late Sunday. There is an exercise room, steam room, full shower facilites, change rooms, and towels for you to use before you leave. The pool area was very relaxed with a decent size pool and two hot tubs. Was nice that you could take your own beer and wine to the pool area also. People were respectful and did not abuse this. Pool area also had great views of the mountain and the bike park had just opened so you could see the bikers decending the mountain. A great weekend getaway for a good price.

Room Tip: Book a pool side room and you will have a view of Whistler Mountian.

Our family of 5 stayed in a 2 bedroom suite for 8 nights from Christmas Eve to New Years Day and loved it. I chose this hotel for our first ever white Christmas because of it's location and the view I expected from our room. The location of the hotel is sensational. It is situated at the edge of Whistler village (allowing easy access to the shops and restaurants), is right next to the Blackcombe Gondola and a few metres from the main Whistler Gondola (so access to skiing is simple and convenient) and it is at the base of Whistler Mountain so the view is spectacular. Our 2 bedroom mountainview suite was perfect for our needs. Firstly, it smelt beautiful. In addition, the kitchen had all appliances and utilities necessary for a family to stay for a week and eat in occasionally. Having 2 bathrooms was also helpful. The fire in the living area was atmospheric and the dining table which seated 6 was just right for us. Unfortunately the mountainview suite on level 3 that we were given had a very obstructed view of the mountain. It was obvious that the family who were originally booked into this room also had the same impression and must have asked to have been moved (we know this because the personalised greeting in our room was to another family). When we asked to be moved (I had booked this accommodation more than 2 years in advance), we were told there were no comparable rooms available. I appreciated the attempt but the reality was that this room is wrongly labelled and I was extremely disappointed. In future, I would stay at this hotel again but I would require a mountain view room that had a mountain view. To end on a positive note, the children loved the nightly delivery of milk and cookies.

Made a last minute decision to spend this Victoria Day long weekend at Whistler for a tennis tournie, had friends staying at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler and at the Hilton so able to compare. My Hotels.com rate for a 1 bdrm, full kitchen at the Pan Pacific Mtn.side was the best (3 nites for price of 2), and the location suited me best as well. Room was spotless and well-appointed, balcony was small but great view of surrounding mountains. Irish pub on site was full and fun each night. No time to experience the spa but it was said to be great by fellow elevator riders.

Room Tip: No bad views, so choose a room size according to your budget.
