“Decent hotel, great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

After parking in the ample underground car park ($15 per day), we arrived at reception to be greeted by two smiling and friendly members of staff. One guy, originally from Glasgow, went to great lengths to offer suggestions on what to see and where to eat, which was really helpful. The hotel is a bit of maze, with various annexes and split levels, but we found our room with ease. It was of average size with a kitchenette, AC, a focal fire place and a jacuzzi bath. The hotel is only a steps away from great shops, bars and restaurants, so you couldn't wish for a better location.

My only gripe would be that housekeeping are prompt arriving at 10am on the dot each morning. Usually they caught us as we were getting ready to leave for the day, so it wasn't much of a problem, but for others this might be a disruption.

This hotel is located in a great spot, just off the main strip in Whistler. You won't have to walk very far. The check in staff were pleasant. On the other hand, our 2 bedroom suite was not cleaned properly when we arrived. There was hair on the ceiling and in the jetted tub. The sink and the shower leak; also the bathroom door does not close properly. The room had a mouldy type smell, almost as though the carpet (which had quite a few large stains) had never dried out properly. I noted that these problems are cited by another reviewer last month, they probably stayed in the same room we did so I hope the management will rectify these issues once and for all. Overall, I'm not sure I would stay there again.

My girlfriend and I decided to take a quick weekend trip out to Whistler, and the Holiday Inn provided a good location for getting around. The girl at the desk was super helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean. It's not the easiest place to navigate when carrying lots of baggage and getting to your rooms, but it's not too bad.

We spent two nights in this hotel on our tour. The hotel is situated in the centre of the village. Just walk out of the lobby into the village. Our room was very spacious with well stocked kitchenette. While booking in I had asked if the hotel had a laundry which they didn’t. We had just taken our cases to our room when they rang to say that a room which also had a laundry in it was available at an extra cost. We paid the extra for this additional facility and it was well worth it. The staff were really brilliant and so helpful. This was without a doubt the best hotel on our trip to Canada. Great value for money. We would definitely stay here again.

We were upgraded by the hotel from a regular room to a one bedroom studio. It was really a great place to spend the rainy days we had in Whistler. Everything was clean, comfortable and cosy. Loved the bed. Staff was great. The underground parking was convenient and cost $15.
