“Taste some local beer in a real pub atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

We're pleasantly surprised at the tasty pub food at this Oak Bay gem. My wife had a very nice warm kale salad with yellow beets and seared tuna. I had a juicy beef dip.

“Very friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013 via mobile

We stumbled across this pub when waking through Oak bay. We wouldn't have called it an English pub with the pubs we have been to at home in Manchester! The food was lovely, a great selection of beers from the local area and the service was excellent the staff are very friendly.

“An excellent Canadian Pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

Specials everyday with the locals. No kids allowed. Comfy, inviting, excellent choice of beers, good service, good location on bus route if you have too many pints of beer. Music after 8:00pm, Shepards pie the best or just have a lunch time pint and come back for dinner. Beach 20 minutes walk away. Lots of fun shops and library near by.

“Real neighbourhood feel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

We don't live in Victoria but do own a condo near the Oak Bay village and a couple of time a month we walk down for a pint and dinner. This pub has a huge following from the surrounding neighbourhood and sometimes feels like a village pub in England. Typical pub fare, fish tacos, Mac N' Cheese, bangers and mash.....Good selection of beers and other drinks. Main section is quite busy and can be noisy but there are 4 separate seating areas so one can choose depending on their mood. Great place.

“Good Place for a pint”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

Good pub food, kind of dark but that's probably what traditional English pubs are supposed to be like. Service is good.
