They opened early at 1:00 p.m. (regular time is 4:30 p.m.) for Father's Day... 1st time they did this for Father's Day... they also did it for Mother's Day in May (which was successful)... I don't know if they will open again early for Father's Day as there were only two tables and a total of five people in the first 1:15 the place was open... Mother's Day was a huge success as there was about 40 or so people in the first hour alone.
As far as the meal, appies were escargot and shrimp cocktail... both were EXCELLENT.
Bread (used to be sourdough but I think now is just regular bread) with 3-cheese butter was very nice.
After having the bread and some of the appies I was already feeling full.
For the entrées they made a boo-boo on mine. Got the steak wrong – miscommunication with the waiter for the wrong steak but it was still nice for flavour. It was a little bit overcooked too, for what was requested but not a biggie.
Parents both really liked their meals.
Where we were seated was right under one of the house speakers – I asked the maître d' about turning the music down… which he promptly did… then a couple of minutes later someone turned it back up – this was annoying.
Coffee was very good.
No alcohol – bill was $129 before tax.
Great place to go for special occasions – nice bar area for casual. No dress-code so you can walk in off the street.
