“A Great Dining Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

If you want great, French-style food, a romantic setting and super attentive staff, this is one restaurant you should not miss. A little out of the way and easy to miss if you aren't careful, we went there on the advice of our hotel. What great advice. The food is great and the ambiance is superb. What a change to be able to hold a conversation without having to compete with loud "background" music or other guests shouting to be heard over it. This was the best meal we had in four weeks of travelling through the US and Canada.

“Treated like royalty.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

My partner and I recently visited Victoria and decided to visit Camille's for dinner. You would think walking into a fancy restaurant with a Game of Thrones t-shirt would be an issue, not here! It sparked some wonderful and hysterical conversation. The service, atmosphere and food are exceptional! Yes, it is pricey and worth it! My partner is gluten-free and the staff went out of their way to accommodate her. Truly a wonderful and beautiful dinning experience. We look forward to many more in the future as we plan to return.

“We were happy to return after 10 years”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

We dined at Camille's about 10 years ago and the meal was memorable. We returned in August and ate their twice. It was excellent both nights. Service was excellent each night. Servers were well informed about the offerings and BC wine.
On the first night we asked whether an heirloom tomato salad could be prepared with goat cheese instead of mozarella. They couldn't do it that night but said they could make a substitution with a little notice. We came back the next night and enjoyed a "custom" salad with house made goat cheese. How cool is that?
We liked their creative dishes, nice presentation and preparation. All very nice. We'd happily return!

“Delicious and romantic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013 via mobile

We checked out the menu while shopping in the area and decided we had to try this place for dinner. The dining room was beautifully decorated, quiet and romantic with pleasantly low jazz as background music. We love being able to have a conversation without having to raise our voices over music and other noise. The appetizers were out of this world delicious. We started with the Sweet Peas, Morel Mushrooms, House Cured Duck Ham, Soft Poached Pheasant Egg, and Olive Oil Crouton and their fresh farm salad with crispy duck egg, greens, beets, carrots, chanterelles and elk jerky. Theses were both prepared perfectly and were utterly delicious. We had a pasta and beef dish that each had their own intricate preparations. The beef was likely cooked sousvide because it was perfect. The pasta had terrific flavors, but the veggies were a bit underdone to my personal taste. They comped the dish when my hubby told them I didn't care for crunchy squash. The desserts were really great too.

“Absolutely Delicious!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

The only reason this restaurant isn't rated higher is because it has fewer reviews - not lesser reviews, just fewer than other restaurants. We've been traveling through BC for two weeks, and this was the best meal we've had. Very different ingredients, cooked to perfection. This is a "do not miss" restaurant in Victoria!
