“Would definantly stay again.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

Quality hotel with friendly staff. Our suite had a kitchenette and a nice deep bath. Coin laundry facilities. Free wi-fi. Parking in the underground garage was only $10 per night (self-park). They also give you a discount voucher for breakfast in their restaurant.

we ordered the hotel on expedia without knowing the hotel (only the tripadvisor recommendations) and found it to be great.
the suite was yograded to a full suite that have every thing you wish to have on a vacation kitchen.
great location near the ferry to the USA. walking distance to the center.

Room Tip: we faced the sea and it was nice

Thank you for you for your recent review and we are so pleased you enjoyed the hotel and the spacious suites.

As many of our guests have commented previously our location is great and close to everything but located on the quieter area of the Inner Harbour.

We look forward to welcoming you back to stay with us in the not to distant future.

Thank you!

Beautiful hotel. Fantastic service. Two blocks from the harbour. Lots of great restaurants close by. Fully equipped kitchens. Suites are quite large. Bathrooms are beautiful!! Lounge and restaurant are really nice. Live Music in the Lounge some nights.

This is my new go to hotel when staying in Victoria. The location is great, the style and décor is fabulous, and service was top notch. There is an excellent Bistro located in the hotel off the lobby as well. I stayed in a room with a murphy bed which was to firm for my liking. On my next stay I will upgrade to a standard room. Even being in the smallest room available, it still felt spacious, had high end kitchenette, and pub table to sit at. It really feels like a small condo. I will be back!

The Oswego has always been my go-to hotel in Victoria but a few things have changed here. They have improved the tv remote controls to be more user friendly but the "guide" function is not enabled with their new provider. This means that you have to scroll through all of the channels in search of a programme.

Also they have a new chef in the O Bistro who is not up to par with the previous chef. I was so looking forward to the lamb shank dinner but had to settle for a somewhat dried out chicken dish.

Better food to be had at Vic's just down the road.

This doesn't mean I won't be staying here any longer - I still love the clean and spacious rooms and the very attentive service from the staff. I'm sure they'll get the kitchen back up to snuff.

Room Tip: The 01 or 07 series rooms rock. Don't go with the 08

Thank you for posting a recent review about your stay with us.

We appreciate that you continue to enjoy the Oswego this past visit and previous visits. The location of the hotel partnered with the hotel's amenities is great as many guests have mentioned in previous reviews.

I am sorry to hear your dissatisfaction about our Chef and the cuisine. As so many of our guests have written previously - they love our new menu and wonderful creations that our chef and his team deliver. Chef Jeff Muzzin has been with us for a short time but, by observing and having the positive feedback of the wonderful job he and his team are doing - we can only hope that you will give the O Bistro another try next visit.

Once again we appreciate you staying at the Oswego and we look forward to welcoming you back to stay with us in the not to distant future.

Regards

We've stayed at the Oswego Hotel several times over the last few years and are so glad we discovered it! It's on a peaceful street with very little traffic at night so it's very quiet, even though it's within walking distance of downtown. It's very elegant, modern clean and the suites have an open feeling to them. Lovely little kitchenette as well. The staff has always been wonderful and accommodating. Highly highly recommended!

Room Tip: We were in room 509 last, a two bedroom suite which had lots of windows and a nice view of the surro...

My wife and I, who are Victoria residents, took advantage of a Valentine special that the hotel offered. Our stay was wonderful. From the front desk welcome, suite on top floor, personalized card and champagne on ice in the room on arrival, four course dinner, and quick room service breakfast were all outstanding. Good, but unobtrusive, smiling and friendly service was the norm. We have, over the years, also enjoyed their Wednesday evening jazz entertainment and have always been pleased. We definitely recommend this hotel.
