“Big room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2010

Just stayed for one night. Hotel is a bit out of the way, defnitely not a downtown Victoria location. Fine if you have a car, or a kayak - super close to the water.
We had 1 bedroom, plus a massive lounge /dining area, with 2 foldout couches. Kitchenette had everything you would need to cook some meals.
Good price, good room.

I am very pleased to hear that the user enjoyed staying in our one bedroom suite. They are quite spacious and offer tremendous value for the price paid. It is true that we are not a downtown hotel and most of our guests appreciate that as it provides everyone with a very quiet and relaxing experience. However, we are still highly accessible to downtown being only a 5 minute drive away. But if you don't bring a car, there are numerous options! You can ride the harbour ferry from our hotel to downtown or the public bus. You can enjoy a 20 minute walk along the Gorge waterway, or you can rent a bicycle or a kayak! So as you can see, the trip to downtown is half the fun! Many guests like to take advantage of our free parking and just leave their car at the hotel.

We stay at this hotel whenever we visit Victoria because it is such a nice place - clean and comfortable and most importantly, pet friendly! The rooms are a good size and well equipped and fairly quiet - you can hear seagulls but that's part of the charm! The staff is helpful and friendly - new manager Darrel made sure we were well taken care of. The location is convenient to everything, downtown is 5 minutes drive and the highways to everywhere else are easily accessible. There is a popular pub onsite, but you can't hear noise in the rooms on the opposite side. The views of the Gorge waterway, the Galloping Goose Trail and downtown Victoria are really nice. We will continue to stay at the Travelodge Victoria whenever we are in Victoria.

Travelode is well situated for enjoying all the wonderful venues Victoria offers The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable, with coffee & tea making units, bedding & towels change twice a week for long stay guests. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. We have always enjoyed our holidays over the years as have members of our family who have visited and stayed in the single rooms

We stayed for six weeks taking advantage of their long-stay program. This involves having a suite with kitchen and bedroom, bi-weekly maid service, a recreation room (The Carriage Room) with TV, card table, puzzles and a selection of books; a place for social events (organized weekly) and general socializing.
The staffi was very courteous and helpful at all times. The room was bright and clean with an adequate supply of cooking dishes, etc. The loveseats in the main area were sofa beds so our grandaughter could stay with us for a couple of days.
In all, we were more than happy with our stay and hope to come again next year.
P.S They also have an indoor swimming pool, sauna and exercise room.

We had a marvelous stay at the Travelodge. Not only were we given an excellent rate, the moment we entered the hotel, we felt right at home. Everyone we dealt with was most helpful, very courteous, extremely knowledgeable and made us feel very special. We will be returning there every time we go to Victoria. The rooms are very clean and bright - we had the Junior Suite with Full Kitchen, which was very comfortable, including the beds, which is important in our books. The location is also very close to everything we're wanting to do in Victoria. If we didn't want to use our car, we have access to buses right out front. There's also a beautiful view of the Inner Harbour from various spots on the side deck, as well as of the Gorge Water Way. What else can I say - it's a great place to stay!!!!!
