“Great Place if your looking for a bed for the night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

Nothing special, but a very nicely priced Hotel, 20 minute walk from the Legislature Buildings. It has a pool along with a hot tub in the basement for guest use along with a Gym. I liked the fact that the staff are very friendly and only after meeting me once I was greeted by Mr. and my last name.

Room Tip: Choose a Corner room, the rooms are an extra few Sq. Feet, but well worth it.

I have stayed here in the past and loved this hotel, little did I know at the time I booked that it was under new management. The room was very small, the cot we requested was not in the room upon arrival, which would not be a problem but trying to explain what we wanted to the front desk was a nightmare. They did not speak English very well, but they did try hard. There were not enough towels in the room. There was only one available roomnr outlet, the other one did not work. The tub was questionable at best. With a bar in the building the parking was horrid, Saturday night they had to double park cars, putting notes on them to say to come to the front desk to have the vehicle moved. The windows on the lower floor were bolted mostly shut. I will never stay at this hotel again, which is unfortunate as it was a very nice hotel in the past.

We were staying here for one night to visit delightful Victoria B.C. Staff at the reception was very accommodating as we arrived in the morning and they offered us storage for our luggage.
The 20 minute-walk, along a small part of The well known Galloping Goose Trail into downtown Victoria is very pleasant.
The hotel suite (two bedrooms and one bathroom) was clean, although the bathroom was very small. Breakfast consists of coffee, a muffin and a fruit salad, but only 4 seats are available in the reception area, so you better take it with you to your room.
We parked our car at the parking of the hotel and we left it there for two days, which is very convenient.

Everything you need if you are in Victoria to sight see. Galloping goose trail and a view of the Gorge across the road, within walking distance to downtown. Nothing fancy but staff is very accommodating with muffin, coffee and fruit each morning, nice clean pool and sauna and a bar lounge on site. Guest laundry also for only $2 a load. I stayed 4 nights and I would go back -nothing fancy but meets the needs!

We were lucky only to be staying one night here as a stop off from Vancouver to Tofino. The room was not very clean ( none of us fancied taking a bath - grit, hair and mould). It was our first hotel with a pool too, but all 3 kids decided not to go in - like the worst 1960's school pool! The walk downtown suggested by reception was through the industrial area!!! On a positive note, the staff were friendly, the room was a good size with comfortable beds and it was cheap!

We stayed here and had a very enjoyable trip. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. We went in the pool every day, the hotel had a room to store bikes that we hired. The laundry facilities were good. The room had a kitchen area which was well equipped. The hotel is a short bus ride from Victoria on the 11 bus route and is next to the galloping goose trail which made it a great location. Also free coffee in a morning and free newspapers and computer in reception. Thank you for an enjoyable stay and would stay again.

After we visited the centre of Victora,we arrived at the hotel. It looks old,and so do the rooms. the window was hard to open, the bathroom was clean although it had its best time too.
Free internet was in the lobby, and a nice touch was the free tea and coffee in the early morning. The staff in the reception was very polite.
