“Enchanting and realistic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

The dioramas are excellent, large and very realistic. They give one pause to stop and spend time contemplating and immersing oneself in the scene depicted. The replica old time town and the ship, and the sawmill all are worth a long view.

“Race to the End of the Earth!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013 via mobile

We went in out of curiosity and were captured by the creative and compelling way the story unfolded about the race to be the first at the South Pole between explorer teams led by Amundsen (Norway) and Scott (GB). Brilliantly told and illustrated!

“Imax theatre. shackleford adventure great show.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

Every hour they have a different Imax showing of something. We saw the Rocky Mt. Railroad construction of Canada. Then the Antarctic trip of british explorer Shackleford. That was very good. The Museum is like all others, animals, clothing, etc..

“Excellent museum, natural and human history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

Exhibits were among the best we've ever seen. Certainly comparable to NY museum of natural history. Excellent materials on First Nations people, but also climate change, natural history of Vancouver island. They have an excellent and large exhibit of what Victoria was like 100 years ago, cobbled streets with dozens of shops. We were tired by the time we got to this part and wished we had had more time.
