“Old Ferries”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012

Expensive, Long Lineups and not appreciate being force to pay separate price for everyone in the car plus cost of car. Family of 5 costs over $200 for a trip to Vancouver Island.

Dear Valued Customer,

I’m sorry to hear that you have been left with this impression of our company.

Our fares are broken out by type (adult, child, infant, vehicle, motorcycle, etc.) where individual fare is paid for travel, common within the transportation industry. Our adult fare is $14.85 and standard vehicle (up to 20 feet in length) fare is $49.25. Reservations are an available option to assist with avoiding line-ups during busy times and can be made 24/7 at www.bcferries.com or by calling 1-888-223-3779.

Kind regards,
Rhonda Daye

“Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

The ferry rides are good and comfortable. The route to any of the places around Vancouver is very scenic. They have food and cafeteria in most ferries. The best is to rush for the food before the line gets too long. else wait for half the journey and then there is no rush! It is not extremely expensive, just a bit more than what you would pay for. But very nice dining area, lounge and also working desks with plugs where you can plug your computer. No internet, though! If you are sure of making a few trips on the Ferry, get a super saver ferry card that allows you to load some money and get a fantastic discount on your tickets.

“Definitely worth a trip on.”

Very professional run ferry service. Well kept, several food outlets, play areas for kids. Beautiful scenery on your way to Vancouver. Sit back and relax.

“Comfortable and reliable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

They keep their ships in pretty good shape. Most of them have been updated. I'd like to see better deals for Island dwellers and for those who reserve in advance. Their food is mediocre, at best!

“BC....ferries”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

Those ferries offer a fabulous scenic route where ever you go but they are atrociously expensive so people don't come as often as they used to and it is a pity! I ride with those ferries a lot i live on an island!

Dear Nathalie,

We agree, it’s hard to beat the scenery here on BC’s west coast, especially when on board one of our vessels!

Unfortunately economic challenges have forced all of us to rethink how we do things and cut back a little. Fortunately the view is free!

Thanks for taking the time to post a review and we look forward to welcoming you on board the next time you travel with us.

All the best,
Rhonda Daye
