“Close to ferry”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2014

This year was our second year going to Victoria for New Year Eve. We enjoyed our stay so much the year before that we decided to rebook the same hotel.
Easy to find, very close to the ferry terming (coming from Seattle) and very easy to go around.

Overall our stay at the Executive House Hotel was very pleasant. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and if you get a room with a view that will make it an added bonus.

It's not like I have been to every hotel in Victoria but I do spend quite a bit of time looking at reviews and prices and locations and this came out on top. I am not disappointed. I have stayed here a number of times and will come back. It feels five star and the views can be great. The location is perfect, pretty much right downtown. Friendly service. I feel like opening up champagne and throwing rose petals on the bed when I get there. The bed and robes are fantastic. Love it!

Love feeling like a high class traveller once in a while? I usually go for more budget places but this is worth the extra bucks for a real treat. So close to downtown, you can see everything from a patio. Clean, so clean. Comfy. Relaxed. Perfect for us.

he Executive House is a family owned business that has been in operation since 1965. They always seem to be updating the rooms to make them more comfortable, although I wouldn't call them luxurious. They have yet to install air conditioning, which is not usually a problem unless you are there during the height of summer.

I've stayed at this hotel 5 or 6 times over the years. Their convenient location just one block from the Inner Harbor and their affordable prices make it an easy choice. The hotel is 100% Non-Smoking. I also appreciate the speed of their wifi which is a must for me when travelling to another country.

The only major drawback is that there is an additional charge of $16 a day to park your car in one of the four small parking lots situated in different areas around the block. There are times when you have to drive by all four before you can find a spot.

We stayed here for an extended conference (nearly two weeks). And, it became our little home away from home.
We had a comfy bedroom, living room and a small kitchen. The front end staff and management could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The concierge manager was a hospitality superstar.
The only challenge we faced was housekeeping. Despite leaving a nice tip each day (for the first several days) we could never seem to coordinate cleaning with our activities. The cleaning staff arrived at random times and had a "now or never" approach to their duties. The times when they agreed to come back later, They never did, Unless their idea of later was....the next day.
Overall, it's a very good place to stay. Great location and overall awesome staff.

Room Tip: I would recommend a room as high up as possible and facing the harbor.

Stayed Friday night. Checked in real early about 1:00 pm. I thought it maybe too early ,but not a problem. We had a nice big room with 2 queen beds on the 12th floor. The room was super clean and very quiet. At one point we had over 12 people in the room. The location is perfect if you want to be right downtown. Everything from dining, shopping and night life is right out the door. The staff was top notch. I will not be staying any place else on my next trip to Victoria.
