“Very nice, convenient location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

We stayed for a week, in a suite with a bedroom, lounge room and kitchen. The kitchen was stocked well enough for our needs, and included an oven (which we often find is missing from kitchens in hotels). The suite was very spacious. We found the beds very comfortable. The only small complaint is that there were only two chairs at the dining table, and only one other chair to pull up to the table. We did intend to ask for more chairs, but never got around to it - so it obviously didn't worry us too much. The location is excellent. We easily filled a week with attractions and food that were worth going to and easy to walk to. It's also very conveniently located for catching buses (both local buses, and the Pacific Coach Lines bus to/from the ferry). We were on the third floor with a view of the houses of parliament, which looked pretty at night. The staff in all areas of the hotel and cafe were very friendly and helpful. We had two meals in the cafe downstairs, a dinner and a breakfast, and they were both very nice.

I don't travel much, because of anxiety issues being away from home, but from the moment I stepped through the door I was looked after. I had a beautiful suite, equipped with a kitchen so I could eat in when I wanted. The staff are so informed about what is happening in the city and how to get around. The restaurants are awesome and value is better than what I expected from a hotel, especially room service prices. Location could not be better. I walked pretty much everywhere I wanted to go. Love it. I will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the harbour offer awesome night photos from your balcony. The parliament building...

We spent 6 nights during Men's World Curling and found the location excellent for walking to both the Save On Memorial Centre for the games as well as many attractions, sights, bars, restaurants and shopping. We were on the 12th floor with only a city view, but it was nice to have an outside balcony with sliding door to enjoy the fresh air. Kitchenette was great, king bed super comfortable and room very clean. Front desk staff very friendly and accomodating. Excellent choice.

We had an excellent time. The service was exceptional, the room was nice and the restaurant had the most amazing dessert ever! All of this for a very inexpensive price. We would definitely stay here again.

We spent a night at the Executive House Hotel, and it was great. We booked our stay online, and we got a fantastic deal. When we got to the hotel, we opted to upgrade our room to a king suite -- it was definitely worth the small fee for the upgrade.

The suite had a bedroom, living area, and a small kitchen. The bed was so comfortable; we had a great sleep. I will say that the room was hot, so we were grateful the fans that were in the closet. The living room had a pullout couch, so if necessary four people could stay. We didn't use the pullout this trip, but it is good to know it is there in case we ever brought our daughter. The kitchen was small, but we didn't really use it except to open a bottle of wine. The bottle opener could have been better, but this is such a small detail it is hardly worth mentioning.

We had dinner in the restaurant downstairs, and it was quite nice. I had the paella, and it was good, but not the best that I have ever eaten. I am quite picky, so I'm sure that most would have really loved it. I can't remember what my partner ate, but it was delicious and he greatly enjoyed it.

All in all it was a fantastic getaway. Even though it was only one night, it really did feel like a vacation.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 1207, and we had a peek-a-boo view of the ocean from the balcony.

We had a lovely 3 days at this hotel with a partial view of the ocean and the city from our 15th floor suite. Clean, attractive, convenient and comfortable. Large comfortable bed and fresh nicely appointed bathroom. Dinner downstairs at the restaraunt was delicious and the price added to our bill. We stayed here on our honeymoon 9 years ago and a time or two since and have always felt quite pampered! Location is outstanding for any activity! Thanks Xavier for getting us a lovely room!

Room Tip: Choose the upper floors for a room with a view and that feeling of floating in the air. We were abov...

We booked one night in a Suite (because of an extra person) and the following night in a Standard room. Both rooms were beyond our expectations. We were fortunate to have views of Victoria harbour from both rooms, and both had balconies too. The King beds were large, comfortable and had duvets. We had no problem connecting to the free Wi-fi in the rooms, and the onsite parking was cheap and convenient. The breakfasts at Caffe d'Amore had large portions and were deliciously prepared. All staff were very accommodating, helpful and wanting to please. We will return.
