We were welcomed by two lovely ladies and given an outline of the floors. We explored the first floor then when we were reading to head up the stairs we were asked if we would like to ride the beautiful cage elevator up to the courthouse on the third floor. OH YES! We lived in Barkerville and worked there and riding up in Judge Begbies' elevator to his courthouse was a moment in time for us. Then on to our maritime history. This was so worth the money and so inexpensive. GO, you will not be sorry. We will be taking our grandchildren when they come for a visit.
