Good hotel with great staff ( especially the bellman, who helped us with shuttles and great city advice ).
We have stayed here several times, but this is the first with our grandkids.
The primary reason for this review is how the hotel staff handled an emergency evacuation at 5:00 am. The alarm went off in our room ( 340) with an announcement to evacuate the building at once. We gathed the kids and trooped down the stairs with everyone else. The night manager soon let us know the fire department was checking everything out and apologized for our discomfort. After several minutes the night manager told all of us it was safe to go back to our rooms.
By 7:00 am we had a letter from the hotel manager explaining the situation and apologizing for our inconvience.
This was a situation that could happen to any hotel ( I've experienced two others, previously ) but this hotel seperated itself by the professional and compassionate way they handled everything. The night manage was in control and made us all feel safe.
