Description: A stylish sophisticated urban lounge in the heart of downtown Victoria, Veneto is the ideal place to unwind with co-workers and friends. Adorned in exotic wood, leather and Italian marble, Veneto seduces patrons with its extensive cocktail menu and its savoury offerings from our chef. Every entree is presented tapas style and comprised of three unique dishes within the entree. Our executive chef Tod Bosence has designed flavours that are unique yet complimentary, and that provide an engaging taste experience, ideal for sharing. Veneto's bartenders led by Simon Ogden, display their knowledge and passion with a classically inspired cocktail list. Fresh squeezed citrus, only top shelf spirits and exacting techniques. Veneto offers its patrons a small but significant wine selection, both by bottle and by the glass. We specialize in North American Craft beer as well as boast the largest selection of bourbons in the city.

“A Great Find Right in Our Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013 via mobile

After a long day of travel yesterday from Illinois, we decided to walk right downstairs to Veneto at the Hotel Rialto. What a gem of a restaurant. The ambiance is young and vibrant and the service outstanding. Our server, Jacqueline, was very attentive and sweet. She suggested cocktails for us based on our likes....she was right on target. I had a fresh lemon and orange cocktail with absinthe and my husband had the best gin and tonic ever, not to mention the best presentation...a little carafe of gin, a glass with one large ice cube coated with something wonderful and then a bottle of tonic. We started out with the cheese tray, compliments of Hotel Rialto for being a guest at the hotel, a very nice cheese selection. Then we shared the spicy albacore tuna poke with siracha aioli - fresh and fabulous. For dinner, we shared the short rib ravioli with porcini mushrooms and a roasted cauliflower gratin - so very good. I just wished we had room for dessert as you could have three tastings for $10. Such a deal. We enjoyed every aspect of our dining experience at Veneto. I am hoping to stop back before we leave Victoria...I need to have my own gin and tonic, not to mention the dessert!

“WOW!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

I ate a lot during my stay in Victoria, but this place had the BEST tapas. I ate the entire plate of brussel sprouts by myself one evening. One night the cheese fondue, meatballs and loads of drinks. Then the mini dessert plate - bread pudding and smore crossiants! YUM!!

Highly recommended. The tapas are unique and full of flavor. Definitely try the custom nachos and ribs. The drinks from the custom mixologist are fabulous and fun.

“Excellent food, ambience, and reasonable prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

We enjoyed a delicious meal here. We went because the hotel gave us a complimentary cheese plate, which was excellent. 2 types of crackers, 4 types of cheese, roasted garlic head, cranberries, walnuts. Delicious! We followed with one of the specials. A poutine burger (100% sirloin), cheese curds, fries, gravy. This was really wonderful, and 12$. The bun was so fresh. There were no other condiments on the burger, but it was so flavourful, nothing else was really necessary. The service was really wonderful as well.. Very polite, friendly, attentive without being too in our faces. Really nice people! The place was packed. We couldn't get into the bar, but they seated us in the cafe- same menu, same great service, and it was actually quiet enough you could have a conversation!
We will be back here!
