Within the BC Provincial capital building is the Legislative Dining Room. Originally meant for the legislators and their staff, the dining room is open to the public. It is subsidized by the Provincial government and offers exceptional value and service.
Enter the capital at the main entrance and request a pass to the dining room from the guard station. They will hold an ID and give you an electronic pass that allows entrance to the area of the restaurant. Once inside, you will be seated at a white tableclothed, spacious table. The menu is simple, but offers sufficient variety for most eaters.
We thoroughly enjoyed the fine service provided by the most professional staff. When the legislature is in session, you might be seated next to local dignitaries. This is an opportunity to experience a lovely lunch in a gracious setting. The food is terrific, as well.
