I've been a regular at the Colwood Casino in Victoria, B.C. for about 15 years. Nope - not a compulsive gambler, but really enjoy the environment there and it's a great adult escape (as long as you adhere to the adage "Know your limit, gamble within it!". The dealers and pit bosses are friendly and most of them have been there as long as I have been going. While they desperately need more table games, they are inundated with slot machines (which I don't play). Staffing seems to be their most difficult situation - they never seem to have enough staff to have at all the tables. There can be a LONG wait for a specific table, which they will give you a ticket to wait for. As we get on with the staff quite well, they try to accomodate us with some free drinks from time to time. For the most part, everyone has a great attitude there (you get what you give). They will deal with problems as they arise, as over the years there have been some situations come up that require staff to get involved, and they have stepped up. Overall, for an adult evening out, it's a comfortable environment in a good casino. Food/snacks/dinner available (don't recommend the dinners - they are a 'brick in the belly' but not quality food and the service is severely lacking). Otherwise, plenty of parking available, good location, and nice building.
