“Very nice homemade soups, bakes and coffee”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

Stopped here for lunch whilst in Gastown. Very warm and welcoming. Partner ordered the mushroom soup whilst I chose the potato, kale and sausage variety. Both were excellent. Coffee was very good too. Whilst there a lady who must have been doing the baking of homemade cookies and cakes brought round a tray of rice Krispy cakes which she had just made and gave all the diners a square to have as dessert. Would definitely visit again. Very good location in Water Street not far from the steam clock.

“Best Coffee in North America”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

Having been in Canada and the US for three weeks, I was generally disappointed with the standard of the available coffee. The ubiquitous filter coffee is available everywhere but is universally blah. The standard of espresso left a lot to be desired. Then I found this place, quite by mistake, but in need of a coffee fix. Watching the barrista go about his work indicated that he really knew what he was doing. The results confirmed it. On complementing him on his product, the reason became obvious: he was trained in Melbourne Australia, home of the world's best coffee!

“Great Coffee and Cake”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

Vancouver seems dominated by the Starbucks chain with branches on almost every street corner. Thank goodness then for the Luna Cafe in Gastown that does a great mug of coffee, lovely 'home baked' scones (that the British might call rock cakes) at a really good price. Whatever you call them the cake was fresh and delicous.

Located just down the road from the cruise ship docks and among all the tourist souvenir shops. This place is a little independent gem. With free wifi! The guys running the place were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!
