“All you can eat sushi”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2012

Order from the full menu, as the smaller cheaper menu does not offer as big of a selection. If you live in the Greater Vancouver area, their $25 VIP Card is worth purchasing for a 10% discount plus other offers. We usually go for Sunday lunch, and they usually will have a sports game or a TLC program on their TVs.

A reservation is recommended, especially if you have a large group. Great service and the staff is always friendly and fun.

“Best for late night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2012

The price is great and the quality is up there. Best value Japanese AYCE unless you can make it to Fish on Rice's Happy hour

“One of the best all you can eat sushi place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2011

If you live in Vancouver, you know that we love sushi. Kingsway Sushi is the place I keep coming back to for great selection and all you can eat. I am a gold memeber for thier fine restaurant and I get a 20% discount on the bill. The price is very resaonable for dine in and take out. I work just across the street and I find my self ordering takeout from this place. When a special gather comes along with my friends, I usually suggest Kingsway Sushi as a dine out place for them. The all you can eat section is filled with plenty of food, especially sashimi. The staff there is great, but the orders to take sometime to arrive. Most days, when it is super busy, they forget some of my orders and leave us waiting again when we reorder it. I never had a bad experience with Kingsway Sushi. I recomend it for the following... take out for lunch, dinner date for two, or dinner party for more than four.

“Good, but nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2011

My friends and I all ordered the "All-You-Can-Eat".

The service was fast (except for our 1st order, it took over 15 minutes between the 1st and the last dish) but the waitress wasn't really nice. She just asked for our order and didn't say anything else, wasn't smiling at all, took the plates from the table without asking, ...

About the food itself, it was ok but nothing special.
A few comments :
- Miso soup is probably the best dish of this menu
- Green salad taste pretty weird, due to the yellow/orange sauce (definitely not japanese)
- Rolls are fine (especially california rolls)
- It's almost impossible to find the taste of the scallop in the deep fried scallop.
- Kimchi is very decent.
- Udon are fine but not that tasty.
- BBQ Ribs Short Ribs are really too chewy.
- BBQ Chicken Wings, BBQ Fish Balls, Sushis & Yakitori are good.
- The corn was coming directly from a can and was served in a bowl.
- Gyoza are very good but unfortunately, its sauce is not
- We couldn't try the seefood motoyaki as they had no more left.
- Mango pudding as nothing special but it's fresh and very pleasant after a big meal.
Last thing about the food, everything come in very small portions (most of the time, 1 portion means 1 piece), don't hesitate to order 5 yakitoris, 5 rolls, 4 sushis, etc ...

So this restaurant is fine, the price is pretty good but don't expect more than what you pay for, if you really want the quality more than the quantity, the AYCE served here is not for you.

“Better of the All-you-can-eat Sushi Resturants”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2010

I've had a variety of all-you-can-eat places in Vancouver. This is on the top 25% percentile. In general, I think you're better off at a-la-carte places because those type of places give you good food since they know their cost/profit margin whereas all-you-can-eat sell you on volume, not on quality to maximize their profit margin.

I ate here alone for lunch service on their Lunch Best Value meal ($10.95) which does not include nigri sushi and sashimi. Their service is OK but not excellent. I was never ignored but I couldn't always flag down a waiter immeditely. Sometimes your order 'disappears' if they think you've ordered more than what you can eat... but that's OK, just ask if it's coming and order again if it doesn't. Alaska rolls, house rolls and dynamite rolls are my favourite of the bunch. I'd eat here again... menu and food is similar to the other Top Gun resturants (like at Newwestminister Quay).
