I've been here about three times in the last few years, and while people say its hit or miss, it's always been right on for me. The servers (always male) have a jovial charm to them, which I appreciate. I'd rather save the pretentious servers for places like Gothams. While often cramped and busy, it really is a signal that people are willing to wait for the food here. That means quality. And it is.
I can't say I've ever had a bad dish here. Is the food for everyone? No, but then you should know what you like before going in.
Pair it with a few pints of Tiger beer and its a great evening. Just don't make the mistake of wearing a nice dress shirt. When eating crab, sauce sprays everywhere, and suddenly your shirts are worthless. Or wear a bib.
