We were expecting a seafood restaurant with a calm, refined atmosphere. We were surprised to discover that this is a chain and the overall appearance is similar to TGI Fridays.
Kids running around, plastic tables partially cleared, tattooed clientele swigging lager or pre-mixed cocktails in " souvenir " glasses.
We made the best of it and enjoyed the sea views over the beach at English Bay.
The classic margarita and Mai Tai were not too bad though the food was awful.
My shrimp salad was a limp collection of supermarket leaves topped with recently thawed tiny plain pink shrimps and a few flecks of goats cheese. Not at all what I had been hoping for or indeed expecting at that price. My husband's steak was horribly tough. The creme brulee was liquid and inedible and the server agreed to deduct it from the bill.
We left feeling we had been robbed. Would not recommend.
