Had reservations at 6 pm on a Thursday evening to celebrate a friend’s birthday. With the TED Talks Conference in town, the restaurant was very busy but the service and food were still very good. I’ve eaten here at least 6 times in the past 5 years and was never disappointed.
We started with a dozen Kusshi oysters which came with 3 types of condiments. Next, we shared two salads (Dotty’s Chopped Salad and Joe’s Classic Caesar Salad). The salads were quite large and Dotty’s Chopped Salad could almost be eaten as an entrée.
For the entrees, we had three of the daily special “Trio of Seafood” and one of the other daily seafood special. The “Trio of Seafood” had 2 tiger prawns, 2 scallops, and a piece of steelhead trout. All were quite tasty and cooked just right.
We split two desserts between the four of us (Key Lime Pie and a ½ order of Sorbet) which made a fitting end to our dinner.
For drinks, we had a ½ Litre of Sumac Ridge Merlot, 2 Mike’s Hard Lemonade, and a cranberry juice. Total cost of dinner for the four of us was $312 before tip.
