“Wow”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013 via mobile

Went with friends before a concert and had a great time. Our waiters was the best part of the evening..thanks Sean and Nelson!! The bread with lobster oil and balsamic was a nice touch, and although the seafood platter for two that we ordered was good, wish we would have ordered something, anything other than that as it was alot of work cracking and picking our dinner out of the shells... That was our mistake as the other dinners around our table looked so very good. A little crowded and noisy but this the kind of place it is... Always full with a party atmosphere, and you would feel comfortable in jeans, business attire or dressed to party. Bartenders at Joe Fortes know it ALL... ask for anything and they know how to make it, and make it great !!
Didn't have dessert but I'm sure it's as good as the food, drinks, and above all the service.

“Skip the meal and go straight to dessert!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

The bread and lobster oil were excellent. The creme brulee was out of this world. Service was excellent and dinner was good. I had the prawns and scallops. I would choose a steak next time, they looked delicious passing by my table!

“Joe Fortes will impress your friends and tastebuds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

This is a fun vibrant atmosphere, with the very best seafood in Vancouver. Your server will capably recommend the freshest catch of the day and you can never go wrong starting off with a selection of oysters for you and your guest. For those not convinced about oysters, a dinner at Joe Fortes will turn that around. One of the best kept secrets about Joe Fortes is the deserts. The creme brûlée is without a doubt the top in class in Vancouver, followed closely by the lemon tart.

Every time we are in Vancouver, we have a date with Joe Forte.

“Oysters here are a must!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

It looks that the place is always packed, so is probably a good idea to book in advance. I went on Monday night and it was full. Since I was on my own, I sat at the oyster bar (which is not my favorite spot but I had no choice). The person at the bar handpicked the oysters for me and they were simply amazing. Do not miss them!
They have a piano man playing. In the night time the atmosphere was just beautiful.
If you are ever in Vancouver, do not miss this place.
