Always wanted to try this steakhouse! It is very olde-worlde with classic decor and very subdued lighting in the bar area. Chefs are viewed cooking behind a pane of glass - this is worth watching. The old-fashioned waiters are very attentive and well trained, genuinely nice people. The food is superb. You could argue that Hy's is overpriced and gimmicky (even the hand towels in the loo are monogrammed!), but eating here is an experience and booking is essential. The place is very busy - people are not put off by the prices as the standard is so high. Try it!
