It's not just the food. It's the whole package. The food is great. Lot's of the highlights already mentioned in other reviews. Personally I LOVE the frissee salad with poached egg but I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. I tend towards the cassoulet and longer slower cooked items in the winder just because they are so time consuming to do at home and such a treat to have someone else cook them well for you. But what we love is the atmosphere. Everything is well done but the whole package is unpretentious and comfortable. Truly what a good neighbourhood bistro should be. The staff is long serving and knows their patrons. John is lovely. We go here at any excuse...and often Aton excuse at all.
