“Great Location, great stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

We stayed here for a weekend and it was great. The location can't be beat, we could walk to the beach, the park or just up and down the streets with the many shops and restaurants. With the full kitchen and two grocery stores within 2 blocks it was easy to stock up and save a little money by eating in. That was tough with all the great food options right outside the door, but we managed. Our family (2 adults 2 kids) found the 1 bedroom suite to have plenty of room and we will definitely look to stay here again.

Thank you for leaving your candid comments here. I am happy to hear that you found Robson Suites is in a fantastic location of Downtown West End. I am delighted to hear that you took advantage of our kitchen facilities to cook your own meals and our convenient location was easy access to get your grocery within 2 blocks. Also there are so many different cuisine of restaurants around our hotel so I believe you enjoyed that Vancouver is such multi cultural city. I hope we will see your return in a short future soon!

Travelling in a group of 3 I needed somewhere with rooms spacious enough to accommodate 2 choosy kids and be central - this location is easily within walking distance of so much of Vancouver , my only minor issue is with having to pay for hotel parking for the hire car we had - I would expect residents to get free parking

Thank you very much for choosing Robson Suites and for sending us your feedback. We were glad to hear how you enjoyed your overall Robson Suits experience, highlighting the location and the hotel amenities. In regard to the charge of our hotel parking, we offer a free undergrouond parking and we would never charge our hotel guests. If you could contact me directly at reiko@robsonsuitesvancouver.com and please let me know detailed information, I would like to investigate and solve the problem immediately. Thank you again for choosing Robson Suites, and hopefully we will get another opportunity to welcome you back to the property in the near future.

We travel a lot, myself, my wife, and my daughter. And we have learned a few tricks along the way. When staying in large cities, location is everything. Second, if you can get kitchen facilities, grab those. Third, when traveling with children/teens, separate bedroom areas are ideal. Finally, and usually impossible, a washer and dryer would be nice. Robson Suites have all of these items. After 10 days living out of suitcases, it sure is nice to have your own kitchen and to be able to do your laundry. Robson Suites is a long-stay hotel so it is classed as speciality lodging. That is a shame because I think many Tripadvisor users might miss this great hotel when looking for lodging in Vancouver, if they are only reviewing the hotel category. There is no way you will get the same amenities and value you get at Robson Suites at any other hotel in the West End. Staff were very helpful. We had a late flight and there was no problem storing our luggage after checkout. Plus they booked us a cab for our flight. Small things but important to us. Oh yeah, they also have free wifi which these days is getting harder to find for free in hotels. Also free parking(!!!!!!) I had only one very small issue. Our room had a glass enclosed patio. That was nice. But the door entering the patio off our bedroom did not have a lock. The windows of the patio did lock so no issue around safety but, still, someway of securing the patio door would have been nice. Like I said, a small issue. Recommend this hotel highly.

Thank you very much for providing your feedback for your recent stay at Robson Suites. We are delighted to see that you found our location convenient, and your room accommodating all your needs. It's always a pleasure to hear that guests have enjoyed their stay with us. The door entering the enclosed patio should have had a security door chain. If you don't mind, please contact me directly at reiko@robsonsuitesvancouver.com and let me know what your room number was and I will make sure that the room has a security door chain on it. Once again, thank you for staying with us and we hope for another chance to provide you our best hospitality in the near future!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

Stayed in a one bedroom suite beginning of July for one week. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help us.
Robson suites are very well situated, just a very short walk to Stanley Park and Coal Harbour.
There are a lot of restaurants nearby. We liked to go and eat in Coal Harbour or walk further along to Canada Place.
The only criticisms l have of the suite we had , is that the bedroom was far too small.Only enough room for one bedside table and lamp. Certainly no dresser. Felt a bit claustrophobic.
The A/C unit in the lounge was very noisy.
All in all we had a fabulous week in Vancouver and the weather was lovely.

Room Tip: Avoid room 302.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments on Tripadvisor. We are happy that most of your stay was pleasant. We do have a great location, and offer great service and pricing. I am very sorry that the bedroom was too small and the AC was too noisy. We do have bigger One-Bedroom Suites, so if by any chance you are planning your trip to Vancouver again, please feel free to make a request to have a bigger One-Bedroom suite. Thank you again for spending your quality time in our city and property.

Stayed at this location for 4 nights. What an incredible location - 2 blocks to the the seawall which provides access to Canada Place and points south and walk a few steps north (literally a few steps) and you are into Stanley Park. Across the street is a Safeway food store (large market to non US and Canadian folks) in case you may have forgotten something or want to bake, etc. Right below the hotel is Robson Street - home to many highly rated restaurants! The location is in the heart of all of the West End action. We were on the 4th floor and had a great view of everything - there's even a little patio deck - however, unfortunately/fortunately (depending on if you are traveling with kids) it is enclosed. Surprisingly - you can not hear any traffic.

As for the room - the queen bed was comfortable with a door in case you are travelling as a family. The biggest downside (but not worth lowering a rating) is the lack of ventilation in the bedroom - there is only 1 AC unit in the living room. They do have a fan you can use. The kitchen was well stocked with the usual appliances, etc. However, don't expect to have essentials waiting for you like salt, olive oil, vinegar, etc. - that's what the Safeway is good for! Suite has small coffeemaker and assortment of teas.

Suite even has an apartment sized washer/dryer and they gave us detergent to use - this was a great help to have so accessible.

There isn't a fitness room nor pool. If you need to run, which is what I did on 2 of the day, just go to the seawall and you won't be alone running!

The staff was always very courteous. This is a definite return hotel for it's location and accomodations!

Room Tip: Ask for the 4th floor - great views! We had room 405 which looks outside to Robson St.

We stayed for one night prior to our cruise and found the location , rooms and staff to be absolutely first class.. The bonus of parking being included virtually paid for the room and although we only live 30 miles from Vancouver the ability to stay and park was ideal... Can not understand why travel agents do not have this facility at their finger tips... they should..
The hotel is a very good option if you have people coming in from out of town as well, as it is reasonably priced and very close to transit, attractions, the beach and Stanley park...
I would not hesitate to recommend...

My wife and I stayed two nights in a one-bedroom suite 10-12 June 2013, and all I can say is that we really were reluctant to leave. The apartment had a full kitchen, laundry facilities, living room, bedroom, and a glassed-in porch type room that was perfect for relaxing and watching people parading up and down Robson. Secured parking was included in the price, and every employee of the facility, from the front desk to housekeeping, was extremely cordial and efficient. If we ever return to Vancouver, we will stay no where else!
