“Would come back here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2012 via mobile

We were in Vancouver on a trip for 2 full days (3 nights) and we were received in a very friendly way. Jenny advised us where (not) to go and helped us with the public transport. The room was clean and the breakfast very good.
We would definitely come back here!

We stayed for five nights at the B&B of Jenny and her family. This is an excellent Bed & Breakfast!! Rooms are very tidy and cosy, breakfast made by Jenny's mom is delicious (!), Jenny gives a lot of practical advise to visit the city, and most importantly you feel welcome and at your ease.
We would certainly recommend this B&B to make your visit to Vancouver an unforgettable experience.

I stayed at the Vancouver Traveler for a conference. The hosts were very helpful with bus transit info for me. Nice and clean and in a quiet neighborhood and good rates. Thanks!

My wife and I had a lovely stay at Vancouver Traveler. Jenny and her family were wonderful hosts. They were most helpful with taking the bus downtown, where the nearest grocery store was, and how to get to Queen Elizabeth Park. Our room was comfortable and tidy.

The Vancouver Traveller B&B is in an ideal location. Just minutes from Kitsilano Beach, Hwy 99/Granville St and a short drive from Granville Island, Stanley Park, and downtown. It was nice to come back to the B&B, set in a quiet neighborhood, after a day of touring.
Breakfast was wonderful, even during the continental season. Jenny's (the owner) mom makes breakfast and always had plenty of freshly brewed coffee, toast, and cereal for me at my request. I was even given a fresh orange one morning :)
My stay was in the English Bay room, which is roomy and comfortable. The private bathroom was a little cramped. The sink is less than a foot from the shower door, so I was always standing to the side of it when in use. The floor needed to be swept as there was quite a bit of hair from what must have been a previous guest, but the room was clean otherwise.
If you are looking for a completely quiet location, this might not be it as the owners live in the B&B. You will have your privacy, but may hear piano playing and normal conversation.

Room Tip: There is lots of great dining on 4th Ave.

I stayed here with my partner during June 2010 in the English Bay room for 14 nights. The host Jenny was always very helpful and we saw her most mornings during breakfast (cooked by her mother). There was always plenty on offer for breakfast, and we quickly grew used to being full to the brim until lunchtime.

The B&B is situated next to Arbutus St. where the #16 bus service runs straight to Downtown Vancouver within 15 mins. Assuming you arrive into YVR (Vancouver Airport) the B&B can be simply reached on the Canada Line SkyTrain and then the #25 Bus in roughly 30 mins. The public transport system deserves a quick mention as it is both cheap and covers Greater Vancouver very comprehensively (also integrated into Google Maps, so that Google can do all the route planning and timing for you!)

The room itself was quite large given it was the smaller of the two on offer, the bathroom was more than adequate, with a fantastic shower. The room came with a TV connected to the basic Shaw cable service (which we found great for watching CSI during our downtime - it seemed to be always on at least one channel!) There was also free access to broadband via ethernet (cable provided in one of the drawers) or wireless (though the signal strength was a little low in the English Bay room), and the speed was fine.

One of the great pleasures of a B&B versus a faceless hotel is that you get the opportunity to speak to other guests over breakfast. During our time we met plenty of others, some English, Belgian, Canadian, Australian and Swiss during our time there and everyone had some interesting story to tell and recommendations to give.

We found the B&B great for our 14 days in Vancouver and would definitely return if we get the opportunity to. Thanks Jenny!

We stayed in the English Bay Room for a week in late September 2009. Jenny, the host, was exceptionally helpful. Her Mom made delicious breakfasts each morning. It's located in a quiet, nice part of town. The rates are very good, especially for longer stays. Highly recommended!
