“Great coffee/chocolate shop in Downtown Vancouver!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

Don't know why it's listed as being in Victoria, very confusing trip advisor. The shop is beautiful space, chocolate bars, drinks, freshly roasted cacao beans, never had anything quite like it before. Didn't try the fresh roasted coffee - cacao and coffee are roasted on site - but plan to next time. Great atmosphere, very chill and upbeat. If you're stopping thru downtown, don't miss!

“Fantastic Cafe *Located in Vancouver, Not in Victoria*”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

This is a fantastic little cafe in Gastown, Vancouver [NOT IN VICTORIA. TRIPADVISOR SHOULD UPDATE]. They make their own chocolate and coffee, from bean to bar/cup, in their little store and you can watch them working through the glass windows throughout the cafe.

I purchased a bag of their Ethiopian beans the other day and a bar of their Madagascar chocolate. I have to say the chocolate was excellent. Very fruitful and expressive, and much more interesting than your standard bar. The coffee, however, was not quite up to the standards of the best independent roasters and with Revolver cafe nearby selling great beans from around the Pacific Northwest, I likely wont buy another bag. Not that the coffee was bad, just wasn't as interesting or memorable as better roasters.

That said, still love the location and will definitely return.

“A GEM!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

Great find in this neighbourhood. Coffee by the bodum. Single origin hot chocolate by the glass. Best value is the "generic" hot chocolate for $2 (made from bits and ends). Best part of all? They are a non-profit biz runned by the Portland Hotel Society next door to support job training for the under privileged living in the downtown Eastside. What a great way to support the local community!

**** THIS RESTAURANT IS LOCATED IN VANCOUVER & NOT VICTORIA!
