“Nice to look at, but...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

I have only been a few times, but I was disappointed. I found the portions too small and quite pricey, and I remember having a napoleon that was very dry. I also thought the atmosphere was a little tense- not the kind of place I'd want to sit down and stay for a while. Especially since there are so many good bakeries around the same area, I wouldn't recommend it.

“Tradition and tea”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2012

We've been going to the Bon Ton for decades for the same lunch. Crusty rolls, loose tea and a selection of their beautiful pastries which they bring to the table for you to select. We can vouch that the recipies are unchanged and they still use only the best ingredients, no substituting for increased profit or ease here! Nice amount of nostalgia for the ways things were, they brought their original fixtures from the former location downtown and even painted the blue sky and clouds on the ceiling as it was in the former tea room. Often interesting people watching and there is always a Tarot card reader there to satisfy any one's curiosity about the future. Sounds kitchy but amazingly it is not. Do yourself a favour a pick up some treats to go while younare there.
