“Lovely place although a little sterile - not the most welcoming place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012 via mobile

Excellent location for downtown - you can walk to gastown or even to Granville island (about 30 min).
This is my third stay here and each time the rooms have been great - large, with pod coffee maker ( problem is there is no way of boiling water), shower over full bath.
There is not often a doorman or someone to help you with your bags and reception is a long way away from the curb to checkin.
Staff are welcoming but stay at there their desk.
Room service is my favorite part of the staff here - not so much the food as the choices are limited and basic but the service is fantastic - each time I have been served by the same man who is just a pleasure.
Housekeeping are also great - very helpful.
While there is no turn down service they do come around with bottled water, chocolates and fill your ice bucket every afternoon.
Overall this is a business hotel - not the touristy 'welcome to Canada '.
There's also some great coffee shops and restaurants close by.

I give this hotel a perfect 10; it has all I look for when sleeping away from home:

-cleanliness, from the health club to the seams of the mattress
-location, it cannot be better placed right downtown and close to the seawall but tucked away from noisy streets
-price, for how sophisticated it was, the price was a fresh breeze (at least in the winter

The extras (such as the pool overlooking the mountains, and the old-school service, and the modern yet sophisticated decor) was an unexpected, very pleasant surprise.

If you can afford the price, stay here, you will not regret it.

Whitin a 5 minute walk you'll be at the convention centre, float plane terminal, bustling gastown, and shopping district.

If you get a room with a view, you'll feel there's no better place in Vancouver.

Dear Alla-Rustica,

Thank you very much for such wonderful comments.

We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and you completely noted all the reasons why we feel we are such a lovely hotel.

It is nice to see the comment about the proximity to the float planes, as I often forget that and only note the distance to the Canada Line. Thank you for the reminder :)

Please let us know next time you are coming into The Hotel at Terminal City Club.

Kind regards,
Noni

The room was big with a separate sitting area and 2flat screen TVs. The harbor view added to the well lit room and inspired to use the gym and pool which for hotel standards, are certainly tops. Coming back for sure.

Stayed for 3 nights for a conference and definitely liked the central location. My room was very nice, enjoyed the kitchenette and the free internet. Everyone was very helpful and I was very impressed by the gym. Very new equipment and the view is certainly a bonus. Only downside was that it closes at 10pm, even earlier on weekends. But it is a very nice facility!

Overall Vancouver hotel prices are quite high and considering that The Hotel at Terminal City Club provides good value. Location is perfect, we stayed three night prior to Hawaii cruise on Sep 2012 and just few blocks to walk to Canada Place and terminal. Decor is modern, room equipment is in good condition. Specially liked spa and pool, as a Finn visit to a proper sauna was pleasant surprise. Also steam room available together with 25m pool and hot tub. In sunny weather there's outside terrace as well in use for guests.

Breakfast wasn't included like in almost every Canadian hotel but there's a good diner around the corner run by friendly Chinese-Canadian couple. You can get hefty breakfast for less than 10$ there. Hotel staff was very kind and helpful. Slight technical problems only with building elevator but nothing to worry about. All in all, highly recommendable hotel.

Dear ErnoP,

Thank you for taking time to write about your stay with us. We do like to hear that our guests are enjoying the fitness facility. You are correct about the equipment as we brought in all new workout equipment this year - top-of-the-line.

What a spectacular holiday you had ! Hopefully, you will come and stay with us again when you head off on a fabulous cruise holiday!

Perfectly located hotel for a stay before commencing a cruise. Easy walking distance to terminal even when dragging a suitcase. I requested a quiet room after a long haul flight and this was well accommodated. Very comfortable beds and pillows. It took a couple of attempts but managed to get an extra late check out to suit boarding time of cruise ship.

Dear Flyingkiwi0612,

We are glad to hear the bed and pillows were comfortable especially after a long haul trip to get here.

You are right - all you need to do is ask to see if a late check out is possible - I'm glad it was available for you.

Hope you welcome you back to The Hotel at Terminal City Club.

Sincerely,
Noni
