“Great Dinner AND Breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

Attached to the Georgian Court Hotel. Being a hotel restaurant, we did not expect much from Frankie's, but were pleasantly surprised by both dinner and breakfast. Being a lasanga aficioando like Garfield, I ordered the lasagna and was blown away - better than any I've had in Italy. WITH a decent wine list. We had the breakfast buffet the next morning and were full and happy. They even had cold cuts and cheese just like in Europe. Great friendly service for both meals.

“Lovely food at reasonable prices for Vancouver!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012

Attached to the Georgian Court Hotel (see review) we had buffet breakfast here (C$14 pp) daily. It was worth it - excellent choice of hot and cold food to suit all tastes. We also had some dinners here after long days sightseeing, as it was handy. But mostly because the menu was varied and tasty. The chef prepared a different soup every evening which we enjoyed - a cup C$4 or a bowl C$6. Bread free. Choices of seafood, fish, pasta, meat, risotto - all presented beautifully, delicious Italian meals with flair. Drinks did raise the price (as we found everywhere) but generally wine, starter and main C$60 for two.

“amazing surprise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

came upon this place based upon the "locate nearby restaurants" on trip advisor once we checked into our Hampton Inn Suites Hotel in downtown vancouver.

What a surprise. The only complaint would be that it took too long for drinks to arrive at our table but once served, the food was phenomenal. The noise and atmosphere was perfect, not too loud and lounge like casual arm chairs provided for a nice comfortable atmosphere to dine in.

We had the seafood linguine and the seafood was cooked to perfection! Evoo and balsamic poured for bread dipping was to standard and wine list was great. Salmon and corn salad was great with fennel shredded into the mix.

Prices were very reasonable given the high end atmosphere and we'd return to this spot easily again...

“The best meal in Vancouver...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

We have spent a week in Vancouver and Vancouver Island. Although a wonderful town we found the restaurants pricey for the quality. (for perspecitve we live in Boston and eat in NYC all the time so we understand value). This was the best! The goat cheese and beet salad was delicious (when we said we were splitting it they did it in kitchen without us asking) and the home made pasta was fabulous. The manager (Menno) was working the floor and serving meals. Love that kind of hands on management. And our server Elizabeth was there to make sure we had what we wanted but was not intrusive. They were short staffed that night and yet they all hustled to make sure everyone was well served in a packed room. Will be the first place we eat when we return. BTW, it is NOT in North Van, but Downtown!

“Best meal we had in Vancouver”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

We stayed at the attached hotel and ate dinner here one night, the waiter was attentive and all 4 meals were lovely, my steak was well cooked and the meat good quality. Reasonably priced for Vancouver. Only negative was cassata for dessert was poor more like old fashioned artic roll!
