“Great Location, Very Friendly and Courteous Staff"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2009

We love the fact you could forget about your vehicle and stroll through a wonderful mix of residential, retail and scenic areas to great restaurants, shopping, theatre, sports venues and the beach.

The BMW chauffeur service is a fun bonus!!

On each of our stays we have enjoyed the friendly, courteous and helpful staff from the door man to the evening "turndown" staff.

If you are planning a business trip or vacation to Vancouver this is the hotel to choose. Located in the vibrant area of Yaletown the Opus hotel offers you quiet luxury and friendly service. The staff are the friendliest, most welcoming and helpful I have met anywhere in the world. The rooms and general ambience of the hotel is incredible. Treat yourself to a wonderful hotel experience at a reasonable price. This is the place to stay in Vancouver.

This hotel is a pleasure to stay at. The service is top notch and very friendly. The room I had (a deluxe studio) was spacious and had a great bathroom with a large soaker tub. Good bed with duvet and comfortable pillows. It's location is close enough to downtown to walk to the main shopping areas. It's an urban hotel surrounded by buildings so it doesn't have a view. It's in the heart of Yaletown only a block or two from some of the best restaurants in the city. I stay in hotels a lot, and this is one of my favourites in Vancouver. I would unhesitatingly recommend it.

I have been staying at the Opus Vancouver for several years, the last trip was by 30th stay with them.

This hotel is consistantly fantastic - the staff are excellent, all of them, from service through to management. These people are professional and always go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay.

The rooms are super comfortable yet modern and the hotel itself attracts a great mix of professionals, creatives and vacationers - so there is always interesting conversation in the lounge, lobby or elevator. The restaurant is great, as is the small European-style cafe attached to the hotel. Again, quality is always great and as i said the staff excellent. The gym is also very functional with everything you need to get a great workout in at pretty much at any time of day.

The location is stunning - right in Yaletown and two minutes from the sea wall and great restaurants and night life (even multiple yoga studios if you're into that) - you can't go wrong.

I'm such a fan of this place I've recommended it to many collegues and friends over the years when they are in Vancouver, and every one of them have nothing but great things to say.

One last point - we've had several events at this location utilizing their confernence space and the events have always been a huge success. The catering is very very good, the bar staff really friendly and professional, and the sales team that run the conference centre are really helpful always going out of their way to ensure you and your event guests are taken care of.

I seroiusly can't say enough good things about this place. It's the only place to stay in Vancouver. This from a guy who travels a serious amount.

Also be sure to check out the Opus property in Montreal - it is also excellent from all accounts.

Brian

I love the location of Opus, smack in the middle of Yaletown with it's great restaurants and shops aplenty!.
I'll be the 1st to admit, I have stayed here more than a couple times. But with every visit, I am amazed by the level of service, attention to details, and subtle room improvements that seem to be constant at this jewel of a boutique hotel. All of which keeps me coming back for more. Being a business traveler, I know the difference between being marked as a "frequent visitor" or when the service is truly Genuine. Here it is Genuine.

When a waitress YOU don't remember recalls your breakfast favorite, (that is no longer on the menu) and has the chef recreate it for you...THAT'S service!

When a front desk person remembers you like cookies and milk before bed, and sends them up, unasked ...THAT'S service.

Fantastic turn down service that is more than just a mint on your pillow and a folded comforter.

I am just a middle aged business traveler, who wants clean and quiet, and access to fine dining . Here you get that times 10, plus a bit of .....Didn't you once play the drums for Aerosmith?

AWESOME!!!

Beautifully styled room. Service was fantastic & friendly. Construction made it a little noisy and unsightly outside. Location was bang-on... close to many wonderful restaurants and just about anything else you need. Steps to the seawall.
