The hotel staff make this place even better than its location, which is fantastic The bar/lounge downstairs (was very noisy in room due to the DJ playing late into the morning) but I have nothing, nothing, else to say that isn't complimentary about this hotel.

Room Tip: Get a room above 2nd floor to get some sleep :)

From San Diego, we fly into Vancouver and take the convenient Sky Train only ten stops (20 minutes) to the Opus Hotel in Yaletown, directly across from the Yaletown Roundhouse station. How convenient is that! We are in room 707 in this attractive, inviting boutique hotel amidst Yaletown's funky restaurants, sidewalk cafes, spas and shops. Trendy with a cosmopolitan atmosphere, there is an animated feel about the area, seemingly designed for the young, beautiful and affluent. Oh to be back in my 30s!

After registering and checking into our room, we see water (False Creek) from our balcony. Our room features a king bed with comfy soft pillows and covers, and - how romantic, one can see through the curtained bathroom window. There is also a strange see-through picture of a gun hung on the purple wall! Freudian symbolism, no doubt.

I like the name, Opus. I associate it with a piece of music from one of the classical composers. Or perhaps a work of art by a Renaissance master. There are 96 suites here, themed with fictional characters to depict the unique room styles. The hotel has a sophisticated feel and perks abound such as free WI-Fi, smart TV, Samsung Galaxy S3 mobile phones and an i Pad for optimum neighborhood exploration. There is a restaurant with Italian cuisine, but we are scheduled to dine elsewhere.

Thus, New York has SoHo. Paris has the Left Bank. London has Kensington and Vancouver has Yaletown. There are three major streets to walk about here in Yaletown's 12-block historic district, home to over 60 of the city's most stylish restaurants, boutiques, art galleries, spas and cafes. This False Creek waterfront community experienced major revitalization, formerly a warehouse district with textile shops and train yards. Now, it's one of Vancouver's hippest areas.

In the morning, we visit the popular Caffé Artigiano coffee house right next door to Opus and after a short walk, we visit Granville Island via the Aqua Bus.

Opus is the only boutique hotel in Vancouver to receive the coveted Forbes Four-Star rating, and it was named in the "Top 5 Trendiest Hotels in the World" by TripAdvisor. I certainly agree. Opus is an exceptional experience. Congratulations to Nicholas Gandossi, General Manager!

Room Tip: We were in Room 707 - and it was lovely

Yaletown hipster look but down home friendly vibe. Fun and playful! Room was beautifully decorated - trendy but warm.
Staff feels like family....so hospitable. Breakfast was great.

As always Opus is an absolute pleasure to stay at. From the moment you walk in you feel as though the staff are truly appreciative of you being there. The rooms are terrific and the way they go the extra mile for your dog is so refreshing! Thanks Team Opus!

Room Tip: The higher up, the less street noise but it is only a 7 floor building. The street noise is not that...

Enjoyed a great stay at the hote. in the heart of Yaletown. The check in is was fast, professional and inviting. The room was great, i liked the layout of the bathroom.
We had dinner in the restaurant which we enjoyed but if you are looking for a quiet romantic place go somewhere else.

Room Tip: I always prefer higher rooms.

I stay here every 3 months for business. It has never let me down! Love the "doctors" room! They hook me up with bikes, umbrellas, and all the needed reservations I asked for. They even helped me find a place that rents ski clothes for day trip to Whistler! Just outstanding people.

Room Tip: They are all awesome and unique!
