“Good first stay at an Executive hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2012

We had not stayed at this chain before, but got a great deal. The area is not the best, but it is easy to find, there is valet parking...which was free for our fried who had dinner with us at the hotel. The room was nice, pretty comfortable beds, outstanding bell/valet/concierge who also provided us with free transportation to Canada Place for a cruise. The hotel was modern, has a free wine tasting every week night for guests and a pretty good restaurant. Our room had opening windows, but unfortunately that was fine until they started cooking in the restaurant which was 3 floors below us and we had to close them because of the exhaust fumes. Would atya again though. Great price in an expensive city.

Room Tip: we were in 401 but it was over restaurant exhaust

We stayed for 1 night and were given an "okay" room. we had a jacuzzi tub, but the rest of the room was just average. We were attending a wedding and several family members were booked in at the hotel, our rooms varied form tiny, to small, all just average. We were given a discount as so many people had checked in for the event and I feel it was a pretty good value for a downtown Vancouver location. They took a large damage deposit, which led me to believe a lot of partiers stay at this hotel. Our stay was brief, the room was clean enough and the location was fantastic.

Room Tip: Ask for a "suite", it is just a basic room, but you get a jacuzzi tub. Do not drink the st...

Stayed in a 2 bedroom condo on the 15th floor. The room was worn and dated and was very cramped and very unlike the website photos of 2 bedroom condos! The bed linens/coverings were dingy and there were days where we only received 1 washcloth and there were 4 of us in the condo. After bringing this to the attention of the front desk, we were told that the maid service would address this the next day and there was nothing that could be done on the day it was brought to their attention which is ridiculous for a hotel. Lastly, the exit door to the parking garage never worked and you literally had to get out of your car and walk to the key card insertion on the entrance side of the garage each time in order to exit. Even after bringing this to the attention of the front desk, it was never addressed.

There were two good aspects to this hotel: 1) the location...it truly is in a very convenient location to many activities and restaurants and 2) the staff were pleasant although they seemed unable to address our issues noted above. At least they were nice! :-)

My husband and I stayed at Executive Hotel Vintage Park in a deluxe queen room on the 5th floor in late August. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Our room was very small "pokey" that overlooked a noisy highway. Our welcome to the hotel was "here's your key" with no introduction to the hotel (or any queries we might have seeing it was our first time in Vancouver). Our first major problem was the aircon vent sounded like a jet engine blasting off every 5 minutes so the noisy traffic below was almost quieter. However, when we turned the air con off, the traffic noise was really bad (all night). Our second problem was a piece of glass on the bathroom floor that my husband stepped on our first night. When he went down to complain about the gash in his toe the gent at reception immediately advised there were no other rooms available as they were sold out for the night. On my husband's request they did send a cleaner however we would have assumed they would be more concerned about this and offered help and an apology! (The cleaner was very nice and did a good job, however we would have appreciated acknowledgement from management). This hotel had poor service (there were some exceptions but this was the overall impression), old pokey rooms and left a bad taste in our mouth...(and a hole in my husband's toe!!!) We did have the wine reception one night and that was nice. In summary, the description is a boutique hotel and unfortunately our experience was very, very far from this. We would DEFINITELY not recommend this one!!

After staying nearby the night before in a really dodgy establishment it was a breath of fresh air coming to the executive. We arrived a little after 10am desperately wanting to be out of the previous accommodation. When we arrived the lady on the front desk greeted us and was very polite. We were suprised and grateful to find that there was a room already available for us.

The hallways are a little bright - maybe some new wall paper would be good. The room was quite nice with a city view. Previous comments about it being a little outdated are somewhat accurate. It's nothing too bad though.

Overall it's been a good experience at the executive.

We stayed here for 3 nights and found the hotel was in the perfect location for walking around Vancouver. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived but the staff soon made up the bed. We then needed help to use the safe , phone and air con and the wonderful Albert arrived to help us out. During our stay Albert, the concierge, was brilliant and helped us to have a great stay in Vancouver.
You must do the following when in Vancouver.....hire bicycles and cycle around Stanely park (or even around the whole city), visit Canada Place and have lunch on Robson street sitting on a huge bean bag (buy your lunch from one of the fantastic mobile vans). We would say that a couple of days is enough as its a fairly small city.
However avoid Chinatown as its really rough (druggies all over the place).

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room however remember that this hotel is in the centre of a city and we had quite a...

My reservation mentioned a "Deluxe Queen room" but the room was really tiny and the bed looked like a double not a queen. When I went to the desk the employee started to explain to me the different bed sizes and assured me this was a queen bed. I told him that my bed at home was a queen size so I could easily make the difference. He just said "I am sorry if this feels smaller" and we were done.
Above that, the bathtub was clogged so taking a shower was almost like taking a bath and all the fruit juices in the mini-bar were past their expiration date.
Not worth the price.
