“Stop whatever you are doing and go here.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013

THE SALMON SASHIMI BLEW ME AWAY! I discovered this place years ago during the Olympics and had the chance to go back last week - happy to say it is still fabulous. The portions are large, high quality and inexpensive. The take-out service is a breeze if you call ahead or order it to go or the turn-over on tables is actually pretty quick if you'd rather eat there. The "gourmet" rolls do have a bit more mayo that I like - suggest you stick with the (real crab) California, spicy tuna, and spider. And did I mention the salmon sashimi?!

“Great sushi!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

This little gem is worth visiting! I enjoyed a delicious supper there, and sat at the bar in the window which was perfect for people-watching. It is on my list for must-visits for future visits in Vancouver :)

“Good, Tasty, but average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

I have been going here for awhile now. It is always good quality food. Tasty. But nothing beyond what you would expect from a Japanese restaurant. Average. Service is average. And the layout of the restaurant is somewhat awkward. It is hard to come in and get takeout - constantly bumping tables and the people sitting at said tables.

Great value and very tasty sushi combo boxes. Everything prepared fresh, staff friendly, fast service, always busy. Noodle / soup dishes not as great as the sushi- come here for the sushi!!

“Pleasantly surprised”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

Look, this isn't the best sushi restaurant in Vancouver, but the value is undeniably good. You can have a quality dinner for around 15 bucks. The fish is fresh and the service is fast. This place is tiny, so you might prefer to do take out, but nonetheless, the food is pretty good. they have some interesting rolls and all your standard ones as well. For a place that looks like a hole in the wall, it tastes very good.
