The hotel is a beautiful structure on the outside and the lobby is lovely. The staff are very pleasant and helpful.
However, this hotel needs a major overall in the room department. The rooms are stuffy, extremely noisy and uncomfortable. You can actually hear the person in the next room speaking as if he/she were standing in your own room. This has become an old person's hotel and it is resting on the Fairmont laurels. They don't even have a proper towel washing policy for environmentally friendly guests. I realize the hotel is an older hotel and some renovations were done at sometime, but it is not a place I would recommend to anyone who wanted a comfortable, quiet room.

On a bright note, the concierge desk is fantastic, in particular, David and Emiko. Everything they have ever recommended is great.

It is also a great central location.

This hotel was perfectly located for a first -timer into Vancouver. Allowed us the ability to stroll around central Vancouver at ease and never be far from our rest-stop!
This was the first of our Fairmont Hotels to stay at on our trip involving 3 of them - would have joined the Presidents Club ASAP just for the free internet access if we had known.
Loved the hotel and would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in early August, and loved every moment. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, the standard of service exceptional. We dined once at Griffins and would recommend both the food and the service.Our room was spacious (the walk-in wardrobes are vast) and the large illuminated magnifying mirror was great for make-up !
The two dogs, Mavis and Beau, are an unusual and happy touch to the ambiance of the place - we were able to walk Mavis for a couple of blocks too( or rather she walked us!! But a lovely experience).Altogether a brilliant hotel in a superb location in the very centre of one of the greatest cities in the world.

Thoroughly enjoyed a stay at this property. Spacious rooms, flawless service from the staff, fantastic location (steps away from the Vancouver Art Gallery). Nice pool and whirlpool area too (grab a cup of their refreshing cucumber-infused water on your way out .)
As it rained one of our days there, we were thankful for the Fairmont umbrella left in our room. Lots of nice touches all around. Stay here and enjoy....

Got upgraded to the Penthouse! Restaurant was not great. Nice location and decorations for Christmas! Service mediocre
