“Hidden gem in gastown”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013 via mobile

My two young sons, my mother and I stumbled on this excellent tea shop while walking through Gastown. It is very tucked away but their service is excellent. Even my 3 year old said he was having a good time while drinking his steamed almond milk. They are very accommodating. The teas are wonderful and very reasonably priced. If you love to drink tea in a nice atmosphere it is worth checking out.

“Wonderful Tea House in Gastown”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012

Really lucky to find Apres-Midi, the Premium Tea House in Gaolers Mews ... it's tucked away in a court yard behind a "run of the mill coffee shop". It was so good; friendly staff, good service and all the tea you could dream of ... my wife can't go anywhere without her cup of tea ... and this was just perfect.

If you enjoy drinking tea, this is the place to go!

“Lovely little shop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2012

definately recommended. Very small and tucked away in a courtyard (or alley however you see it). the staff there were very friendly and knowledgable of the teas. they also offer baked goods that looked absolutely scrumptious, but we had just come from lunch so we didnt have any. Foro seating they have a long bench along the window, upstairs and a corner seating area. They made great use of the small space and it was very bright and airy. Loved it!

“A new place to take a break & sip tea”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2012

During a recent vacation to Vancouver, I had the pleasure of stopping at this small tea shoppe near Gastown. We were sightseeing and shopping near the Waterfront and saw the sign for this tea house. We went down a short alley and to our surprise came to a small tea house. The lady that worked there is very knowledgeable about teas and made some great suggestions. As she was brewing our loose leaf teas, we sat in the small room that is surrounded by glass so we could people watch. As we sipped our tea and studying our map for the next destination, the lady that worked there came over and helped us understand the closest neighborhoods and made additional recommendations on places to visit. It was such a nice break and the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful.
