“Amazing Bio-Dome - Totally Tropical”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

We visited the conservatory as part of our Vancouver Hightlights Tour. The place is packed with some lovely tropical plants and trees with some very colourful parrots and other small birds.

A fun and interesting way to spend 40 mintues. A mini version of the Eden Project in the UK.

“Exotic birds, rare plants up close and personal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

On a hilltop in beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park, the Bloedel Floral Conservatory is truly a Vancouver gem. It's fun to visit any time of year, as you'll be indoors, under the dome, breathing sweetly fragrant tropical air. The colorful parrots and other birds are definitely a highlight - one of them, an African Grey parrot, has been known to talk when in the mood! Some of the smaller birds flit about and walk along the pathway - so keep an eye out. I'm no plant expert, but the variety here is truly impressive and lovely. The admission price is reasonable, and it goes to support this worthy place. Be sure to stroll around the surrounding park, too, for the kid-friendly fountain, the sculptures and gardens, and the gorgeous views.

“Small but lovely bio-dome”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

The bio-dome at Bloedel is quite small, but it's filled with beautiful exotic plants and flowers. Adding to the atmosphere are quite a few species of birds who fly about in the dome. A walk around the dome will take less than 30 minutes but you could easily spend a lot more time enjoying the plants and birds. Also, as the bio-dome is located in Queen Elizabeth Park, you can wander the beautiful gardens outside if the weather permits.

“Small and very expensive”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Bloedel Floral Conservatory is situad in Queen Elisabeth Park in central Vancouver. Although Queen Elisabeth Park is definitely a visit worth and is entrance-free, Bloedel Conservatory is not. It is a very small conservatory with some exotic trees, flowers and birds but the entrance is expensive. We had a family ticket of 15 dollar but after 20 minutes we were already outside... You can not take the stroller with you and at the moment of our visit, it was rather packed.

“A nice diversion”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Definitely not the Eden Project in the UK....but if you enjoy a wide variety of plants, trees and birds, this is the place. Located in Queen Elizabeth Park, is a great place to visit for a wonderful view of the city & North Shore Mountains and a walk thru the gardens (on a sunny day).
