This is a nice hotel and it shows that they are working hard in keeping it up. The gardens on both floors were beautiful and made the place look great and pleasant to stay in.

Location feels safe. Rooms were clean, beds were just 'ok' as the mattresses are on some sort of a metal frame which are noisy.

Based on other reviews, we asked to stay in a room away from the street to get some "peace and quiet" and the staff was able to accommodate the request.

Enjoyed the say. If the price is right (competitive) I will stay there again in the future.

We felt safe walking around and it's conveniently located next to MacDonalds' and restaurants. Nice courtyard. Breakfast was limited in variety and cold.
We stayed in 103 and had problems with the ants. In the evening, we saw ants crawling under our door into our room and crawling on our door. Ants were also crawling on the bedside desk and around the bathroom. We informed the reception and they immediately came to spray insecticide but it only stopped the ants crawling on the door. When we checked out, the ants are still around.

Thank you for your recent stay with us, I am glad that our location worked out so well for you. With our Courtyard Garden we do have an issue at times in the spring with ants. There are a number of steps that we take. We, as do most hotels, have a professional preventative maintenance company (Assured Environmental) that comes in to service us monthly. Thank you for bringing this to my attention as I had them in for a second time in June.

Whenever you have any issue with your room always bring it to our attention. We will always do all that we can to make our guests' stay as comfortable as possible. Sean Barrington, Operations Manager.

stay May 29-31 Days inn Vancouver metro... rooms small but adequate... not suitable for those with mobility problems... stairs everywhere you go in the motel.. breakfast room too small when motel is crowded.. there are better choices for the same price...

Room Tip: must negotiate stairs to access all rooms..

We are an older property, upgraded of course (new furniture this year), but the hotel was designed many years ago. We do not have an elevator and for rooms on the main floor you have six stairs to go down. On the upper level there is one flight of stairs to go up. We do have one option to avoid stairs. Once you are checked in you can access a door with your room key from the parking lot that will allow you to avoid any stairs to get to your room.

For guests with mobility issues I recommend calling the hotel directly to make your reservations. We can put a note on your reservation and assign you the most suitable room to meet your needs. I hope that you enjoyed the city of Vancouver, Sean Barrington, Operations Manager.

This is the Days Inn that has caused me to part company with this chain. As a zero reference level for comfort it excels. I had paid quite a lot extra for a premium room - a Queen Suite. The living room faced the street. There is no double glazing. If you want to drown out the street noise then you can run the air conditioning or have TV up loud. There is a sofa bed in this room but with the street noise you would never get any sleep. The small bedroom faces the back of the hotel and is adjacent to the rear entrance. If anyone comes in that way then you wake up - thats how it is. The windows need serious replacement for comfort and security reasons. They were streaming with condensation in the morning. The carpeting looks like cheap underlay stuck to the floor. The floor above needs fixing as the slightest movement upstairs generates loud creaking and cracking noises. There were stains on the sheets. The breakfast room is too small. You have to keep going back until a table is free. The food is lower quartile Days Inn stuff. No doubt the management will dismiss all of this saying that the hotel was full as if that in some way excuses them for not having an infrastructure to deal with being full. An approach to the management resulted in the comment that they had never before had any complaints - but then they never do - do they?
Hotels like this will always fill their rooms not because they provide an acceptable service but because of their location. There are alternatives. Please check them out.

Room Tip: Don't even think of paying extra for the suites. They are the noisiest rooms in the hotel. Take...
